Hi, I would like to know how easy it is to claim through the Motor Insurers Bureau as a direct claimant? I would like to avoid paying solicitor fees of 20% if I can, but I would like to know if I am much more likely to receive compensation and receive more if I use a solicitor.

Depends on the nature of your injuries... if its whiplash then its a fixed tariff, if its something other than soft tissue damage then its a negotiated settlement. It'll always be debatable if the charges of a solicitor will be exceeded by their better negotiation skills or if you are just giving away money.nofineplease said:Hi, I would like to know how easy it is to claim through the Motor Insurers Bureau as a direct claimant?
