Confusion and concern with switching bank accounts

My daughter is in the process of switching banks, from HSBC to Natwest.
She has only just received her bank details and card for her new Natwest account, but she gets paid in 2 weeks time and her employer still has her old bank account details.
Her employer (Easyjet) said they need more than 2 weeks notice to change her bank details, so her employer is going to pay into her old HSBC account which is about to be closed.
So what happens now ? Will her pay automatically be paid into her new Natwest account ? Or will she have to wait an extra month to receive her pay (which would screw her financially) ?
I've never switched bank accounts so I don't know how it works, I thought all this was supposed to be taken care of automatically ?
She is panicking that she will either lose her pay or get paid a month late.

All payments are forwarded for a set number of years if the switch is done using the official switching service.1

Thanks, she used the official switching service so it sounds like all will be ok0

It usually redirects for 3 years but would always recommend as soon as possible to update people who pay you with the new details.1

The current account switch service comes with many guarantees, including redirecting of payments

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
