Morning everyone
We had a lovely sunny day yesterday and it looks like being the same today, it is still windy though.
Nothing much happening this week, just work in the afternoons though we do have a nursery trip on Thursday morning to a local splash park which should be fun.
Remmie - I'm so sorry your grand daughter is still having problems at school. They should be dealing with the children who are teasing her not just saying to keep her at home.
TA - sorry to hear you had an awful day yesterday, I hope your sight gets better as it settles down.
Mehefin - well done with your plant sale
I'd best get some jobs done before I go to work. Hope everyone has a good day x10 -
Good morning 😊
Not as busy today, as it was yesterday. Dinner-wise, it will be leftover curry. I didn’t make the naan in the end, opting instead for cheesy garlic bread slices to use up the last of the sourdough. It was the first time I had made them, and reports back were favourable, although they were apparently sweeter than expected. I don’t know if that was to do with the garlic paste, or the lacto-free cheese, but they have been requested again, so the sweetness wasn’t off putting. I’m curious to what was meant by the taste, but as I don’t eat either bread or cheese, I am just left to wonder 🤣
Later this afternoon, we are going to the cinema to watch a film called Sinners. All I know of it, is it’s a bit of a horror, and is about vampires. Hopefully, it’s good. Before then, I want to clean the living room, and put new shower curtains up. I also want to sort one of the storage cupboards, and make up some pasta for tomorrow, as we are going on a hike, so will be out all day.
Hope you all have a good day 😊

Morning all, thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. Lots of high cloud around this morning that's clearing already and then it's going to be sunny intervals, a moderate breeze, and comfortable highs of 21 deg. The heatwave is due here on Thursday.
I had a quiet day yesterday doing some little jobs around the house. Today I'm going to tackle the outside space that should have been done long ago but wasn't - too wet, too busy etc. The council contractors cut the open plan grassed areas fairly regularly but no longer strim around the edges (so called eco-friendly patches) and the weeds are taking over around the property walls so I'll be out there to drench them with weed killer. I did make a half-hearted start on the planters before but didn't get very far so will resume that too. Anyone would think I'm talking about a revamp of Kew Gardens instead of a small patio!
First though I'll be in the kitchen before it turns into a sauna to make a couple of apple pies and a coconut cake. Tea tonight is a salad with smoked pork loin slices.
@TA - Your experience sounds very much like mine was last year. First eye - no problem, lovely surgeon. Second eye - unpleasant with a less than pleasant surgeon who was very impatient and needed a refresher course in empathy. It will be worth it in the end though, keep on using the eye drops and you should notice an improvement soon.
Nothing else to report so I'll get on. I hope everyone has a good day and that the sleep deprived have a better night. Hugs where needed, take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Morning everyone struggling to get on here this morning it’s still a bit flaky .TA hope things improve for you soon Remmie I hope the school can get to the bottom of whatever is bothering your grand daughter it’s not an easy age and they need all the support they can get. Just finished a cleaning job I’m afraid she’s another one I am starting to see a big difference in she’s 89 but she’s definitely failing and it seems to have happened these last few weeks it’s sad to see I got her into the doctors last week because she was crying when I went saying she was in pain all over and she didn’t want to go to the coffee morning she always goes to in half an hour she was ready for her lift and feeling alright she has always been very independent but she’s definitely failing said this week the doctor had prescribed her a low dose antidepressant but she’s definitely failing insisted she would put the ironing board up as I wouldn’t know how to do it she’s starting to be very odd she’s canceled the newspaper because they are printing it all wrong putting things on the wrong pages I will be keeping an eye on her .then again when I met my friend yesterday we always go for a good walk before we have our coffee and there was a lady in a garden we passed and said hello to she insisted on taking us through the house and showing us all the plants she had in her back yard and telling us all about her family then she said it’s been lovely talking to you girls it’s really cheered my day up my friend blames me she says I attract people but so what . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Morning all from Mehefinland
Spent the last hour attacking the front hedge as its green bag day today - not that there is any sign of them yet! I am definitely not having berberis in any future hedge - the stuff is lethal!! And its only part done!
Took several lots of stuff to school yesterday , which depleted my overflow stocks, and sold some odds and sods to a neighbour for her hanging baskets. She has been confined to base having contracted Covid at a family 'do' last week so was glad of a distraction.
There were so many kind donations post the fire at the school that they have decided to do a whole school event , so although we are near the coast it has been decided to go to a showing of the latest 'Lilo and Stich' film taking over the whole cinema. Its a bit of a logistical nightmare as all children and staff, including support staff, cleaners etc are going on the day. Not sure how many coaches are involved, but quite a few. The uncertainty of UK weather was a deciding factor, and it's probably easier to keep track of everybody in an enclosed space. There is an open invitation to go, but I think I will decline.
Got to plant up some of the surplus soon so that will keep me occupied for a while - biggest problem is finding space for it all.
Hugs to the poodles, and hugs and spoons as always

Hi everyone,
TA, I'm sorry your experience was so unpleasant yesterday, fingers crossed the sight improves.
Remmie, I'm so sad fro your DGD. Laura became very depressed at about the same age because of bullying although in her case it was the teacher. When I contacted the school the first thing they asked me was whether she wanted to change classes so they obviously knew what the teacher was like. She didn't want to change but things improved after that. I hope the school start to deal with things properly.
Things here are slowly improving although Steve is still moping around feeling sorry for himself.
Have a good day.

@TravellingAbuela - it takes a few days for the eyes to settle and clear up. Hopefully not any longer than that. My problem was my diabetes. It was hindering the eyes clearing up so much so that my first pair of glasses didn't work. I was seeing double all of the time. They had to put a prism in one. Now the eyes are doing better and most of the double vision is gone. Really hard to drive with it. Just don't stop the drops - keep on using them as long as they are prescribed.6
