Morning allThanks for starting us off Scarlet. Awake at 5am again. Hanging washing out at 5.30am. Oh well at least it'll dry quicker. I'll do the ironing this morning too and get it out of the way before it gets too hot.Apart from that no plans today so I'll wish you all a good day x12

Morning All
Trouble loggin on this morning.
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Got home yesterday to some sunshine and a stiff breeze so put all the washing out to finish drying, saved using the TD thank goodness. Finished cleaning the bathrooms and everything is spick and span ready for my visitors. I love having folk here but not when I'm at work!
I was making a pavlova for the staff lunch tomorrow (that I'll not be at as I'm taking some prizewinning children for a lunch) but it wasn't quite done, will try again later if I have time, otherwise I'll buy something ready made.
Hope you're all doing well, anyone heard from Nanny?
Take care. XX14 -
Morning
Been awake since sparrow o’clock- feel shattered already. Yesterday was mostly at work though did steam clean floors and make a batch of enchiladas in the evening as well as watering the garden. Already drowning in raspberries so will start freezing the decent ones - they’re not quite the same but the taste is still good.Similar day today though DD and DM will return later, my BFF and partner arrive tomorrow for a couple of nights so some chores to finish to be ready for that.Take care all
very warm here so please take care if it’s similar where you are

Good morning
Another one up early, sleep is eluding me, too hot and things on my mind.
Thanks for your kind words for my dgd. Things are not good, she hasn't returned to school since the half term, and doesn't look like doing so any time yet. The school finishes for the summer holidays in a months time and they seem happy for her to stay off until the September term. They are sending work home for her but how is she supposed to do it without being in class? It's not a good situation and I dont know how it's going to end.
We finally had the salmon last night which has been living in the freezer, with new potatoes and green beans. A nice light meal. Tonight may be chicken or a pork pie picky tea.
Now off to walk big dog while it's still cool. Have a good day all. Take care.10 -
Now back, morning again.
I think it's going to be warm here, hope so anyway.
I've got some washing in, should dry quickly it's only polycotton.
I met my friend at Dob*ies yesterday, we had a good chat as usual, it was great to see her.
Not much happening today but this evening I'm going to the theatre with Dil's mum to see Hamilton, should be good, I'm looking forward to it.
Remmie, hope things improve for your granddaughter, it's worrying and upsetting. Early teens can be a difficult time.
Themsthebreaks I was going to comment on something you said yesterday but I've forgotten what I was going to say! Honestly, I'm useless! It'll come back to me though and I'll post again.
Thoughts to the sad, worried and poorly, hope you get through the day ok.
Take care folks.13 -
Morning all
Lovely day here and meant to get really hot later, I have three people coming today and we will probably end up going for a walk as Rob still has no money, luckily they all enjoy walking.
Dd is off today so she is making us dinner tonight it’s a cheese burger bowl which sounds delicious, she made one for her and her friend the other night and it looked really tasty.
Mum is away for a few days with my sister so I have arranged for her cleaner to come in for longer hours to give the place a good clean I shall go up there tonight to have a quick look and see what she has done, she can be a bit lapse so I will just have a quick check.
Remmie I am so sorry that your dgd is struggling again, bless her I hope the school can step in and help her xx
Hugs to Derek xx
Hope Nan is ok xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning folks. I survived yesterday but it was very unpleasant. Different surgeon this time. It was a relief to be able to take off the eye shield this morning as my eye lids were glued together behind it. But I am beginning to think I will have to put up with dodgy eyes forever. Distance is definitely better but reading and comp work even worse so still having to do everything on zoom. I go back again in a month for a check up and then I can finally make an appointment with optician and hopefully get sorted with new varifocals and stop moaning!
Not read back on what I missed yesterday so I hope all is ok for everybody. ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning all, thanks Scarlet - I forget things people have said too by the time I've read a couple more postsIt's nice and sunny at the mo, sorry you've been hit by torrential rain Gers.TA, I hope your eyes improve but sorry it was uncomfortable for you.I think I may have a bus trip today, and go before it gets too warm. I need to get some bits for a picnic when we take DGS to a tournament on Thursday from school. We can pick him up a bit earlier than normal but some parents are unhappy it's not early enough as we have to get to M/cr. His DM is emailing school to see if we can set off any sooner.Derek, accept some more hugs from me.Well done with your library and school work too.Remmie, hugs for DGD and your family. It's worrying about the learning isn't it, but it seems they're happy with sending stuff to her, and there's so much help online for students.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
