Prior to a few days ago, Autotrader flagged whether a car had been written off when you composed an advert. This is no longer the case. Is there any other free way of checking?

Be interested to hear if there is, but i'd strongly recommend vcheck.uk if you're going to do a check, prior to buying. They check salvage yard history and taxi status as well as all the usual stuff. It is not uncommon for a car to have been written off, but not recorded as such.
