Hello all
We have cctv and we have a three modem and also a sky modem.
When we connect the ccrv ethernet cable to the back of the sky modem there are no lights at all and it works fine.
But I wanted to connect it to the back off the three modem as its more reliable but it flashes green and orange and the lights are very bright, lighting up the wall even. Is this normal? It's constant green or orange flashing.

perfectly normal, the lights just show that data is going back and forth.
Just use some dark sticky tape to cover the light up if they bother you.1 -

As above, flashing lights are generally data transfer. The sign that it's not working will be a regularly patterned flash indicating a DHCP lease attempt.

Thanks I thought so. But was not sure.
Why are there no lights flashing when plugged into back of sky modem only the three modem.?
Yes three modem works fine.

Yes three modem works fine.An ethernet socket with no LEDs in costs a few pence less than one with two LEDs in.IT people love flashing lights on networking equipment. A quick glance at the lights may be all they need to locate which section of the network has failed. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
