Morning everyone
After a lovely day yesterday it's pouring down this morning and is forecast to be on and off all day, I was hoping to get along to B and M to buy some plants but I'll see - it might be postponed till another day,
I think I'll get little one for a sleepover later, they were meant to be going to a barbeque but that has been cancelled.
She had an appointment at the RVI yesterday which lasted the whole day, as she had to have bloods taken every two hours. luckily she has her port which makes things a lot easier.
I've got the Trooping of the Colour set to record later. so we'll watch some of it later...she loves watching things like that.
Right I'm going to switch off and go up and get dressed, hope you all have a good day x

Morning all and thanks @Gers for the start. Outside is damp underfoot so I'm guessing we had showers last night. This morning it's dull and cloudy with showers due later, perhaps with thunder thrown in, sunshine later. A bit of everything day. It feels quite muggy too.
Yesterday I managed to get done most of what I'd planned to do but had to admit defeat before I got around to the summer tops, thanks to dodgy joints that sometimes make themselves felt, not in a good way. Left knee and right hip is not a good combination! Today they seem to be behaving and I'll confine myself to gentler activities so as not to upset them again. My head doesn't think I'm an old lady but occasionally my body tells me otherwise!
DS might be calling in today; if so he said he'd take me to Wickes to get the radiator paint I need - it's a 15% off weekend to mark the grand opening of the new local store. Tea tonight is a Thai green chicken curry with rice, one of my favourite meals.
@Chrisca - Glad you enjoyed your meal. Belated Happy Anniversary wishes to you and your DH.
@WL - I'm so sorry to hear your new member made the meeting difficult.
@Gers - Pleased to hear the new gardener seems to be what you need and that the ABs are working. I've only ever had a UTI once and whatever the GP prescribed must have been super-powered - just 3 tablets and it was gone. Well done too on making a decision for an alternative travel method.
@Scarlet - I'm so sorry you've had to sell your caravan, it's served you well and yes, you'll still have the memories as well as looking forward to "different" holidays.
I hope everyone has a good weekend (special wishes to Nancy in the US) and that the predicted thunderstorms don't spoil anyone's planned outdoor activities. Take care all, hugs where needed or wanted. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
Morning all
Nice and sunny here after storms all night, dd and friend came home soaked to the skin after the night out, it’s such a shame that the weather was so bad.
My magnolia tree in the garden snapped during the night 😩 I only said to my OH yesterday that we needed to get another stake for it, I am so upset my mum bought it for my birthday a couple of years ago and it was doing so well, it is hanging on by a thread so I will try to save it but dont hold out much hope.
Dinner tonight will be a bbq as long as it stays dry I will make up some pasta salad I think to go with it.
Housework and washing to do and then I will spend a few hours in the garden to tidy things up a bit and try and rescue my tree.
Scarlet sorry that you have had to sell your van, good memories to look back on though xx
WL what a shame that one person can cause so much upset xx
Better get on have good days all and take care xx8 -
Hi everyone and thanks for the start @Gers. Happy hair day. I coloured mine on Thursday and it feels very dark atm.We had the thunder and lightening last night and it feels a little less muggy today. We are off to a housewarming in London where the hosts will serve an Indian buffet.Sorry you were upset at the meeting @WickedLady4. Really not on for a newcomer to cause such upset. Hope you enjoy the dance later.Good luck to your DS @ScarletRibbons. Having walked Hadrians Wall I know how tough the terrain is. Good decision on selling the van - lots of different holidays to look forward to now xx
