Hey, I've been spending about 30 - 40 minutes a day for about four months now entering comps and haven't won anything. Is that about right? Am I just unlucky 😀 Thanks

I haven’t done any competitions for a long time, but I used to spend longer than 30 or 40 minutes on them and went without winning for long stretches of time. And I think prizes are harder to come by now than they were then so I think that’s probably par for the course. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
Hoping you get a win soon.
Are you entering a mixture of competitions. E.g. web, purchase necessary, small and large prizes.
If you enter consistently you will eventually win.
Good luck!0 -

I tend to enter about 1500-2000 competitions per month and recently (past year and a half) consider myself lucky if I win one thing per month (nothing over £50), and in the past have had a 3 year spell of winning NO prizes whatsoever despite entering the same number of comps. However, when you win a car, a luxury holiday or a large sum of money (and I have been lucky enough to win all three), the dry spells disappear from your mind and you are re-invigorated with the Comping Spirit. Keep going, your luck will turn.4

I spend several hours per week entering comps and can go many months without winning anything, so your lack of a win so far is completely normal. It is just a bit of luck that's needed, so hopefully a nice win is around the corner for you. I have been comping for many years now and have had some really nice wins over that time, but have also had some years where I hardly win anything. I enjoy comping so any win is really exciting. Good luck!1

2. If you enter a lot with Gleam, did you check what in your account over there? Perhaps, you've changed your e.mail-twitter-insta-youtube, but Gleam still use it. So you entries are not counted properly.0 -
Wins are very rare, in my experience.
You really do need a dose of good luck to win any substantial.0 -
I've pretty much given up over recent years. I've not had the time to enter so many any as they are online and there will be so many other people entering them.
My best spell was in the late 90s when the internet was in its infancy but I was fully online.
The population was lower then so possibly less people entered as well. I imagine we are also battling against bots and compers from around the world now.

They are rare tbh, I go through spells being commited to enter them, but even recently I was getting fed up of entering the mag dailies, because it was just getting so repetitve, but then I won a simba hybrid mattress and it made it worth it tbh because it was something I needed but was expensive so wasn't just a frivilous purchase, would have to save up and commit! But I fully expect not to win for a while now haha. I think if you go into this expecting to win you will always be dissapointed.1
