UKPC -- Parking outside of bay, Valley Retail Park (Croydon)

Bit of an unusual one here...
There was a bird in the parking bay, as the attached photos show. I think it was a bit injured. Anyway, I wouldn't want to injure it (and to do so would be illegal), so I parked adjacent thinking it would move, and I would then straighten up. But it didn't, so I just popped into the shops (where I did make a purchase).
The parking sign was also in a very small font and a bit faded, as per the attached photo, so I intend to include that in my appeal to UKPC (and POPLA if necessary).
I've written to the landowner and heard nothing back. It's now day 14 from the date on the letter so I think I'd better appeal to UKPC.
I will certainly include the sign as one of my grounds for appeal. But I'm interested in any reflections on the strength of the bird appeal. I can't prove it was injured but UKPC's own photos prove it was there.
Any other advice gratefully received! Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't try an 'overhanging bay lines' case at POPLA. Waste of your time!
An appeal won't win. But no paying.
Escalate the complaint again to the retail park property agents, otherwise do nothing except tell UKPC if you move house.
Come back when a DCB Legal LBC arrives.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks.
So no point bothering with UKPC's appeal route either, I presume?
And I 100% won't have to pay this further down the line?
Thanks again!0 -
We cannot guarantee it but as long as you don't move house without telling them then you just await the claim form then defend.
That's the only dispute resolution worth trying and ends up seeing DCB Legal discontinue every time.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Its not a waste of time if you now know what to do and when
Come back to this thread after the debt collectors stage, so at the LoC stage or court claim stage2 -

They can't even spell Beavis, let alone offer anything of use to a consumer. They are simply demanding more money and there is no legitimate interest to support the further greedy increase of a PCN that has already uncreased once.
Adding £70 must be banned. This is not a stage that a consumer entrapped by a disputed, unfair, unfounded and already extortionately inflated parking charge should be required to fund, at all.
And stick around in August to take part in the Government's Public Consultation. We have an important thread about that and we need ALL Defendants to respond to the questions to shape the regulation of this rogue industry,Please come back in a couple of weeks.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
