Heads up on Parking Collection Service (Debt Recovery Plus) - DVLA Keeper Data

I heard of an interesting contact with DRP who swore they were the Data Controller ,and not AM Parking who issued the Notice to Driver in the first place, This was in spite of AM Parking being listed as the Data Controller in both their published privacy policy and ICO registration. They were trying to avoid issuing AMs data as required by a Subject Access Request.Coupon-mad said:
Thanks for that.SpinninginInfinity said:

One of PCS' scam ones demanding £120 on the NTK, even though this isn't DRA stage.
But of course PCS are BPA favourites Debt Recovery Plus, and that NTK reckons they are 'operating in accordance with the BPA CoP' so that's all alright then!

Anyway I now suspect that my contact details were gleamed from one of the Credit Reference Agencies. I'm not entirely sure they can do this without informing me first, and for a Notice to Keeper. Feels dodgy to me.3 -
AM Parking Services is the Data Controller and DRP the data processor; I'd suggest sending a SAR to both parties, to see if their "stories" match.1

Many thanks everybody.
Apparently AM Parking sub contract Debt Recovery Plus for their KADOE contract (amongst other things). I didn't realise that the reasonable cause criteria could be applied via a third party. Seems to be ok with the DVLA.
