I tried not to rise to the bait, but I have to ask, if the place making the tea was close enough for there to be any potential of it being drinkable when it arrived surely it's only about 100 yards away and so one of you could have gone and collected it?

Tea, as in cups of tea?

I could have made (and drunk) 8 cups of tea in the time it's taken you to type this opus.

Are you seriously bothering with writing this up for a consumer site because of eight cups of tea?

And you've spelt Chaiiwala wrong five times.

When it is considered normal to use food delivery services for cups of tea then we are all definitely schtuped.
But this is not just tea, this is Chaiiwala bubble tea 🤣
They don't do bubble tea, it's Chai.

I seriously hope so, unfortunately it's worked on me....
No need to get steamed up...

I tend to use a price-comparison site when ordering cups of tea off the internet: www.infused.com.
    Ba-dum-tsshhhh....     :D

Clearly a number of hurt people here. Also clearly from the villages. Might be news to you but ordering food is quite common in cities. And no, the Chaiiwala tea wasn’t something you put on a kettle. Karak chai takes times and effort, so…

I think you’re missing the point here. This whole thing could’ve been something else or some other type of service. The point here is the abject failure of JustEat. If they got away with this me, they’d have probably done this many times over with others and will be in the future.

For now I’m going to get information of the CEO of JustEat and a few others important people and email them and take it from there.

Small claims court remains an option also.

Straw-sucking yokel here, clearly - well actually I lived a lot closer to the City than you folk out in the 'burbs of Dalston.

You really need to lower your expectations of a business sector whose success is built on exploiting a largely migrant workforce. Not sure why you think a delivery rider earning south of £10 an hour can provide the level of service so obviously expected by the sort of people who send out for cups of tea.

Bit of empathy needed here. If you go raising complaints it won't be the management and shareholders of Just Eat (or Deliveroo or UberEats) who will end up bearing the cost of your frankly ridiculous huffy. But I rather suspect you know that and just don't care, because entitlement.

TBH, in future order direct from shop, or make the trip. If they make you order through these apps. then vote with your feet, either don't use the app or walk to get them 👍

    Then never use Just Eat.

Given you mention city life, then clearly the shop can't be too far away.

Personally, we have a obesity tax on sugar drinks. This should be extended to drive through's & these delivery services. 👍

I've never used Just Eat or any of the many other alternatives, and have heard too many horror stories similar to the OPs that means I will never choose to do so. As is often is the case with these low margin companies, everything seems great for customers until something goes wrong.

But thanks to the OP for spilling the tea on their story.
