I've got a specific makeup pencil sharpener which I bought ~25 years ago in the Body Shop, and a look on their website shows they still do one (which looks very similar) including the blade cleaner stick for £5

I've been using the same sharpener that Emmia linked to for ... 35 years? Everything gets resharpened about once a month, whether it needs it or not, and the whole exercise takes less than 5 minutes.
Maybe I'm blessed in that this is not a task that feels at all onerous, or maybe I just hit the jackpot with the sharpener.1 -

I suggest you tell her to sharpen her own eyeliners, perhaps get one of those body shop sharpeners to sweeten the pill?0 -

Your wife may love the following.
“Clarins 4 colour all in one pen.”
its like one of those pens that has 4 different colours. Instead of ink it has eyeliners. Mine has black, brown, grey and red so the latter can be used for lip liner. There are quite a lot on eBay. costing around £10 - £15 which is very cheap as you get 4 different colours. It is good quality as Clarins is one of the best brands.1 -
Will check that out - I think she uses both black and brown, so that sounds ideal. (I can use the red...)Thanks0
