Ukpc (court hearing letter received on 12th Aug 26)

    Updates.

    I have received court hearing letter on 12 August. It is dated 5 August 2026.

    I also received DCB Legal's "without prejudice" email on 11 August.

    The hearing is on 8th October (Hertforeshire), and I will be away from the end of this month till 7th Oct, the day before the hearing. In case DCB Legal does not discontinue, I intend to get everything ready before I am away.

    I suppose I can't change the hearing date now?

    If not, any quick tip please, before I start sorting it out tomorrow (ok, maybe next monday…)?

    Phone the court on 11th September or the week after to see if they actually paid the hearing fee. ( unlikely. )

    You can expect an N279 discontinuation document to arrive by email to your inbox or spam folder by 10th September

    @Coupon-mad you are absolutely right. I just got a discontinue email from DCB Legal.

    The whole process is actually super straightforward (not sure how it would be if actually going to court), and I followed newbie steps almost stress free! And I did almost everything when i was away from the country! The only effort I made was to make sure I didn't miss any deadline.
