Roberts radio + ear thingies?

I have a Roberts Sream 93i radio.  It has on the back sockets for headphones, line output and ethernet RJ-45 whatever that is.  I would like to listen to it via those little cordless earplug thingies.  If this is possible, what do I need to buy?

That radio does not support Bluetooth, which is what you would need to use wireless earbuds and the like. You can probably get an external Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the line or headphone sockets.

The RJ45 is a network socket to allow direct connection to your router for streaming off the internet/Spotify etc.

"ethernet RJ-45" is for a wired internet connection.

Wireless headphones/earphone use bluetooth.  The radio does not appear to support this.    You can get bluetooth adaptors/transmitters that will plug into the headphone socket - your preferred online eletronics retailer will probably have them.

They'll probably lose some of the functionality of a "normal" bluetooth connection  (e.g. the ability to pause the music) as they're not connecting directly to the radio.   I can't comment on how well they work.

The later model includes Bluetooth, which the 93i appears to lack.
Amazon sell Bluetooth adapters, then you also need the headphones/earpieces. It can work out quite expensive.

Thanks for that.  So I need a Bluetooth Adaptor, which I plug into the headphone socket and earpieces.  Looks like this could be a dear do, so I'm wondering what my alternatives are.  This calls for a new thread ...

What Hi-Fi Product of the Year Awards 2017 - nice piece of kit. Shame they didn't call it a Steam Radio.

You may also find that sound quality is reduced and the battery life of Bluetooth headphones isn't always the greatest - especially if you go for smaller ones.
