Morning everyone
It's a lovely bright morning here again - I've got my bedding in washing so will get it out on the line shortly.
I have quite a big pile of ironing to do this morning - I did little ones clothes yesterday but decided it was too lovely a day to do mine too.
I went out with my friend yesterday, got the bits I needed and had a lovely hot chocolate and cake. Then I sat outside and read my Sunday Times.
Redruby - thanks for explaining about Rob, I wondered if he would understand a picture story, it's so sad the social worker isn't taking what he want into account at all, or his family for that matter.
Izzy yes I was so relieved we had no emergencies when DD was away. I've had a couple of 10 hour sleeps now so am feeling recovered from all the disturbed nights. ...sorry to anyone who can't sleep!
Right, I'd best move, this ironing isn't going to do itself. Little one rang the ironing fairy the other morning and asked her to come and do it, but unfortunately it was still there when we came back from school!
hope you all have a good day x11 -
Good morning all. Thanks @Scarlet for the early start, sorry you had a bad night's sleep.
A fine day in store today with highs of 23 deg and a light breeze with rain possible from late afternoon. Yesterday was lovely and, as I was wearing a dress for the first time in ages, it was strange feeling fresh air on my legs!
I accomplished two of the three things I wanted to do yesterday - tablets collected from the pharmacy and shopping at Sainsburys. The hair salon I wanted to call into was closed - I knew they had Mondays off (I think most hairdressers do) but not Wednesdays. Trust me to pick that day.I could always phone to ask for a price but I wanted them to see what they would be dealing with and also to get a feel for the place. Never mind, next time I'll remember to go on a different day.
Nothing exciting planned for today, just the same old, same old but I'm sure I'll find something to occupy myself with, there's always something. Last night's nocturnal visitor to our outside space was a hedgehog that was chugging along at some speed and making funny snuffling noises.
@WL - I hope tonight's meeting is a better experience than you're expecting.
@Gers - Fingers crossed the new ABs work.
@Ruby - Such a sad situation for both you and Rob. It just doesn't seem right.
Have a good day, hugs for the poorlies, take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
