Good morning, I'm a bit early this mornng, after a bad night.
It's a nice morning, fine and dry.

I've just been out in the garden admiring the results of my labours yesterday - I finally got out there, weeded and did a general tidy. I washed the front door and window frames, even the front gate!! 
I know it won't stay like that of course, but it looks nice for now.

I met up with a friend yesterday - we couldn't go to our usual cafe, they are closed, apparently there's some sort of electrical problem in the underground cables. However, there are other nice places, so we went to one of them.

Not planning to go out today, but who knows, I might change my mind.

Ruby hope you are ok, with all this upset about Rob. How sad that his family don't appear to care for him as much as you do. I was wondering about his understanding of the situation, as someone mentioned yesterday,

Morning All

Thanks for the start Scarlet, you were certainly busy yesterday!

Yesterday was really hot, made hotter by going to a retirement do after work - the place was roasting. Nice buffet and some good laughs, I will certainly miss my colleague, she's a good friend so I'll see her often.

We have health week at school this week with lots of folk coming in to take the children for sporting activities, not sure if I'm coming or going with all the different groups spread out all over the school. Today shouldn't be so bad but I do have to accompany some children to the swimming pool - more heat!

Today looks dry and bright, the greenhouse is open but I don't have enough washing to make a load which seems like a waste of the sunshine.

I picked the first cucumbers of the season yesterday and took one for DD - the little one started to eat it before she went into school!

Take time for yourself Ruby, all the problems with Rob will take its toll on you.
Hoping Nanny is ok.

Bright and sunny here and we await the arrival of DGS2, who is now able to reach and undo the door handles

I'm still feeling cross and upset regarding tonight's EGM, which I feel is being manipulated by a new member, so will have to wait and see what happens.

Morning all. Thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. Sorry you had a bad night. 

The noisy bull has gone so peace has come back to my nights. I think that he'd done his job and been returned. Thank goodness. What disturbed my sleep was the overnight mugginess, just not used to it. Yesterday was fairly overcast though when the sun came out there was real heat. In the morning I did a quick drive up to do a little shopping and had an appointment with the GP later. The UTI is still rumbling away so got a script for a different AB for a week this time. My fingers are crossed, makes a changes from my legs! 😂 

Today I should be going to Glasgow for a matinee theatre show but I'm not up to it. Too much driving and I need to keep drinking and going to the loo. I'll stay put and potter around here. 

I hope that all turns out well @WL, nothing more horrible than a newcomer who is disruptive and upsets lovely things. Hugs to all.

Looking like a lovely day today out there.  Will get up out of bed in a mo and water the garden.

Nothing exciting going on here today apart from a bit of dusting, hoovering and mopping.  

Will be nice to sit out in the garden this afternoon in the sun with my book.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Another lovely day is forecast but maybe showers tonight. The best time for it to happen. I never got out in the garden on Tuesday so maybe today's the day. With all the dry weather and then lots of rain the plants are not looking their best this year. The weeds are looking healthy of course!

A lovely day out yesterday, it felt so nice wandering round in the warm sunshine. And I got a compliment from a total stranger telling me how nice I looked, adding my dress and little cardi looked lovely together.. It fair perked me up! Our lunch was enjoyed followed by much chatting over our bottle. I came back to good news too! Our hairdresser is recovering well and her surgery wasn't quite as bad as feared (she had been told she may need a Stoma) She didn't in the end and can drive again after this week, so haircuts are back on again! Not before time for me as my hair is getting out of control!. So a good week ahead. - Monday will be the cataract op and on Friday a haircut. Small pleasures!

Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all who need them. WL I hope you feel less upset as the day goes on. RUBY my heart bleeds for poor ROB, he has no idea what's in store for him has he. You do wonder about some of the SW decisions.  Take care all stay safe xx

Morning everyone it’s warm but overcast I’m at a concert tonight one of my grandchildren are in she plays the cornet and sings she’s doing both tonight I think I can’t keep up with everything they do always busy . We had a nice day yesterday we went to Auckland castle not to far from me but the dog enjoyed it we had a couple of hours walking around and the walled gardens that were once derelict looked beautiful a lot of work has been done . I’m off to a cleaning job now . Gers pleased bully has gone Ruby I hope you are all right I’m sorry but it doesn’t sound as if common sense is on there agenda . DP1 I bet you are ready for a rest I bet you think you have gone deaf but at least you had no hospital visits I’m pleased she seems to be getting a good run of no dramas . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all

Its a bit overcast here this morning and I think we are due thunder storms later today and tomorrow, I have Rob coming today and I am not going to take him to the cafe as he is limping a bit, I think from our long walk so I don’t want to make it worse, we will have a pottering day at home, I also have an application form to complete and send off.

I must admit I am feeling the stress of the whole Rob situation, in a way I can’t wait for it all to be over so that I can get back to some kind of normal, and on the other hand I don’t want it to end and for him to be unhappy 🙁 I am still waiting for a reply from the council.

Dinner tonight will be HM pizza I got some bases the other day and managed to get some GF ones so OH will be 
happy. Washing is on the go but will have to be dried indoors today, it can go in the conservatory on the airer.

Gers I hope these tablets do the trick and you feel better soon xx

I’ve had a busy week. DDad I has been staying but he’s off to see my cousin for a couple of nights. I will deposit him on the train and ask for assistance the other end. Work continues to be busy and I’ve negotiated to WFH on one of the three days which starts next week. This will save us £10.40 fare per week and mean I can get more done hopefully. 

Dinner tonight is a SW recipe of leek and mushroom pasta which usually produces about 6 portions despite being for 4. I will freeze the extras for packed lunches.

Good morning 

A bright sunny start, rain is forecast for later, but we'll see.

A better nights sleep for me, DH was very attentive yesterday, very concerned about me. He never apologises but shows in other ways he knows he did or said something wrong. Peace reigns again.

Not sure what's happening today, may go shopping, we only have 2 slices of bread left, but I know theres some rolls in the freezer.

Ruby  I really feel for Rob, the poor man has no idea hes world is about to be turned upside down. Please take care of yourself also, all this stress is going to tell on you.
