    Wish id read colnkits post about 1/2 pint beforehand lol

    Put in 1 pint - it came out like soup :rotfl: but drained the liquid and it was great

    Thanks for everyone's help - will def just use 1/2 pint the next time.

  • I love corned beef hash.:j
    i do a really simple one.
    roughly chop the potatoes up and par boil them.
    chop up an onion and corned beef and put in casserole dish,put potatoes in.
    i pour over some beef stock(i use knorr) to just cover it..
    add two bay leaves,salt and pepper,a squirt of tomato sauce and some worcestershire sauce.
    mix it up and wack it in the oven.
    i sometimes add peas,carrots and butter beans.
    my mum used to do it with a crust on top but i can't be botherd.
    add lots of black pepper and worcestershire sauce at the table and mop up the sauce with some crusty bread. :beer:
    Sounds scrummy, have been looking for meaty dishes which use cheaper meats like corned beef etc as OH doesn't think its a meal without meat but we're on a tighter budget this year (new house, new jellybean).

    Would it work in the slow cooker do you think?
