Lloyds error opening account.

Hello,
I just wondering if anyone has experienced the same and how they managed to get it resolved.
I recently opened a Lloyds premier (moving from Barclays Premier) account, completed the application form, it went through, downloaded and saved the welcome pack and terms. However when the card arrived it appeared to be a mistake and that a basic account was opened instead, I wasn’t informed that it was a basic account. I contacted customer services and they couldn’t understand either, they spoke to the under writers and they said it’s all fine and couldn’t understand why, apparently this was due to an automated system error. Now they can’t seem to change the account as the automated system won’t let them, it states “An error has occurred”.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues.

A basic account is for people who do not qualify for 'proper' accounts.
So they may have to open you a new account with a different account number.
I would complain if they ask you to re do the application - they should sort it for you (unless there is adverse information on your credit files).

Just to add to above post I thought that Lloyds had stopped selling their Premier accounts some years ago.
I know they have a new Premier account for high net worth customers - not sure how you open one of those accounts.0 -
Nothing adverse on credit files at all.
Lloyds just created a new premier account and they agreed I qualify. I take home over £5k pm.They’re put it down to system error. I’ve already submitted a complaint.

If it is a basic account the error must have occurred at the credit report stage1 -
So I complained to Lloyds about this and this is the response I got, which was upheld.
They can confirm that I did pass the credit checks for the Lloyds Premier account and they couldn't understand why the basic account was issued. They investigated further and this was due to using a new system being used for opening accounts. This will continue to be investigated by the machine learning and digital teams. The account has been changed to Lloyds Premier.
They had given me £50 compensation for Lloyds customer services providing me with incorrect information.2
