NO FLAME SUPERVISION DEVICE ON THE HOB .. is this OK

I rent out a house to a couple.
At the recent gas safety test, the managing agents responded to the point 'NO FLAME SUPERVISION DEVICE ON THE HOB' which was included in the report.
Now they have asked me .. What am I going to do about it
As far as my quick research has found, if the hob was fitted previously (as it was) before the regulation came in, then all is fine .. as long as it is in a house with one family only.
Am I correct?
How should I reply to the Estate Agent who is managing the property ?
thank you

Yes I think it is OK. If it was not OK then the Gas Safety Test would fail until it was rectified. If you have a satisfactory certificate then it is safe to use.Of course it would be more safe if it were replaced with a modern one but that is your call.1
