Which banks won’t credit score you for a credit card if you already hold a current account with them 👍

I'd be surprised if any banks did this.  Simply seeing cash flowing in and out of your current account wouldn't tell a bank that it's safe to let you borrow £40k on credit card for a new car.

All banks will check your credit report before granting additional credit. The affordability rules that they now have to follow mean that the only way they can comply with those regulations require them to check your reports with the CRAs as part of the application process.

What are you trying to achieve with the borrowing you want to obtain and why are you concerned about having your credit report checked by a lender? If you give us a bit more information then we might be able to point you in the direction of some viable options.

This is just personal experience I had an account with Lloyds and Halifax and I wasn’t credit scored as part of the application. In both instances it came up I was pre-approved in my online banking when I applied.

Same with me.  I have cards with both Lloyds and Halifax and no credit check was done.  Even loan offer was made without a credit check.

I guess they do get scores from CRA so they don’t really need to check it.  If someone has adverse information they will not get pre-approved offers.  Actually they get a market kn

Long time ago First Direct and HSBC didn’t do credit check either.  Banks has changed now credit check is even done for credit limit increases.
