Speeding ticket at edge of zone

I thought camera opperators had to see a car and think "That looks fast" before they point the camera. Yours looks like they zero'd the camera in onto the exact start of the zone and waited just measuring every car. I wonder how they had time to see you and assess the speed from that picture. Aparently now this is not the case, as long as the device can see you they can issue a ticket, even if the opperator couldn't see the vehicle! These speed traps are supposed to be a safety measure, the purpose is to reduce death and injury (Except North Wales where they use camera enforcement to lower speed with the aim of reducing vehicle emmissions) it's all very well people taking a high morale stance but in reality if you were slowing to comply I don't see a big safety issue. It's just using motorists to make money not stopping some idiot doing 50 in a 30 - they somehow continue to exist where normal motorists get a ticket for slight infringements. However I think I'd just take a course and chalk it down to experience. The North Wales emmissions one got me recently, my attitude towards the authorities is becoming somewhat more cynical.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.1
