Good morning Scarlet, thanks for starting.
Bright and sunny here, and forecast to stay the same all day. I have had a terrible nights sleep, (well not much sleep really). A few words with DH yesterday have been playing on my mind. I'm sure it'll sort itself out.
No plans for today will see what it brings. Last night we had steak baguettes, so tonight will be the kievs or salmon.
Have a good day, hugs to all who need them. Take care.12 -
Morning all - thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. Sorry to read of your bad night @Remmie - perhaps you will have better tonight. The blooming bull has been moved to another field!
Plenty of sleep here again.
Yesterday was both very long and very expensive. One simple job on the car turned into two big ones and new front wipers. I can't grumble as they were necessary for safety (brakes and tyres) but my bank balance is certainly chuntering away. This morning my cleaner is coming so I'll be heading out once he's here. I was too worn out to shower last night before bed so had an unusual morning one, now I feel as it I want to head to bed.JackieO has reappeared in the decluttering thread which is a relief. I hope that everyone has a good day. Hugs all around.

Morning allGoing to be a warm one apparently. About time tooHousework this morning. I've got a buddleia that has been ravaged by something and will have to cut it all down. The butterflies will not be happy!Talking of DHs. I was in bed watching TV last night when he came to bed. He told me that he'd thrown away the prawns that were in the fridge as they'd gone off. I had put them in a tupperware box and mixed them with some garlic mayonnaise. Will have to have something else for lunch today then. Grrrrrrrrrr. As Del Boy would have said "what a plonker"Have a good day all x14

Morning all
Its overcast here but I think it’s meant to be sunny later, Rob coming today and the home are trying to get him a Drs appointment today so I shall keep him here and go to that if we need to, we also need to go to the chemist and pick up his meds.
Yesterday we all went for a walk in the woods we thought we would do about 4 miles as we have been building up each time we go out, we got so lost 😬 with no phone signal so couldn’t get maps up we walked for miles before seeing anyone, we eventually say a work man and asked him the way which he showed us - when we eventually got back to the car we had done six miles 😳 they were all asleep within moments of getting in the car 😂
Dinner tonight will be some kind of steak / new potato bake thing which dd saw online it looks nice so looking forward to testing it out. I have put a wash on this morning and can hopefully hang it out later.
I am being sent an application for a new care provider later this morning so will work on that later, I am also waiting to hear from two more so things are starting to happen.
Remmie hope you sort things out with your DH xxx
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
Morning again, and it's a fine morning here, the forecast is good.
I'm meeting an ex work colleague this morning for coffee, then I'll be at home for the rest of the day.
The new bed for the spare room was delivered yesterday, and it looks very nice.
We seem to have been changing things around in the house and getting rid of unwanted stuff for ages, I'll be glad when we settle down. I have a few bits of craft stuff to pass on to the local library ( they use it for craft sessions with children). There'll be more when I really get into my crafting hoard.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.

Morning all from sunny Mehefinland
This week is flying by and I seem to have done nothing useful - suppose you get times like that. Got an on-line course on Bio-diversity tonight for the council, with Part 2 next week. We have a statutory obligation to have a plan and to report every 3 years. The lady who did it last time has resigned sometime ago, and nobody else knew anything about it. Joe soap got the short straw lol, hence the course. I don't mind as I suspect/hope it will be interesting, unlike some courses I have been on.
Can't remember if I reported back on the weekend - think I may have .Anyway, it was ok and we got lots sorted. Met the future in laws too. The plans for the big fancy wedding have been shelved Phew!!, and they are now talking of a small registry office do next year. I told them just to get on with it this time last year, but they have got themselves in a tizz as they have to remortgage in November and are stressed out.( Don't know how we managed when mortgage rate was 18% !!). However they are thinking about it positively I suppose. Did offer to contribute towards the nuptials. will wait and see how things pan out in the next few months.
Hele did a good job looking after the gees so I feel much happier asking again at sometime in the future.
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET for kicking off. A beautiful morning at last. The sky is blue, the sun is shining and we are forecast to reach 25 deg. For one day only!
Silly me thought yesterday's check up of my eye would be more or less a quick look, a few questions then straight back out. Ha if only! We were there for just over 2 and a half hours! Poor DD was taking root in the waiting room. I was taken through to wait and wait and wait ...! First two departments went ok and then had a long long wait for the Optometrist who seemed to take forever with everyone who went in. Anyway all was well and I have an appointment for the left eye next Monday at 8.40!! I'll need to be on the road no later than 7.30. DD will be on her way to the Isle of Wight (annual girls trip for the Festival) and DS working so it will be an expensive taxi ride both ways.
Today promises to be a less stressful day as it's bus trip day. Probably be Skipton again so a nice amble round the market in the sunshine before heading for our customary wine 'n' dine lunch. And much talking! It's always an enjoyable day.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Still no NAN, she has been missing for quite a while now. But it was nice to hear JACKIE O is back on the forum after her break. Take care all and stay safe xx

Morning everyone
Lovely and sunny here this morning and it's to last all day, so I'm looking forward to sitting outside this afternoon.
Little one had been delighted to see her mummy again, they've just been up to collect her swimming things for school. DD is looking lovely and tanned.
This morning I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa then for some shopping, this afternoon I'm going into town with my friend for a coffee and a catch up. I need to collect a prescription from Boots too.
I need to take photos of the paperwork to apply to renew dad's blue badge.
redruby, hope you don't mind me asking, but I wondered if Rob will understand that he's leaving your care?
Hope everyone has a good day x8
