I received a small letter today about -
"Yes, it's possible you have a claim against 23andMe due to a data breach that occurred in 2023. Customers who were affected by the breach and suffered damages may be eligible for compensation as part of a settlement or through the company's bankruptcy process."
from KROLL restructuring, New York.
23 and me went bankrupt, I am not aware that have suffered due to my data being lost, so just ignore the letter?

Yes, don't trust anyone who starts a sentence with an adverb....
Seriously, unless there was some material damage or loss done to you by this hack there's little point in engaging with this. Kroll are legit so as long as you are sure you are engaging with the real thing then go ahead anyway. There's a lot of information on their site

I had a 23 & me account and didn't think for a minute i had suffered a loss by the hack.
What concerned me more after reading an article was who might get their hands on my data and what might they use it first if they successfully sell/restructure etc. so i logged in and deleted my data and account.0 -
Not sure which of savings and investments criteria this fits in, but that said if it was the same e-mail I got, it was quite long but buried in the detail was something about only applying if you were already part of some kind of class action already ongoing.
