Multi-pet insurance

I assume this is the right place to post this.
I'm currently looking at insuring our 2 cats. Historically I've just insured one but since we've acquired a second, I've gone through the comparison sites and added both.
The premiums that have been returned are comparable with the prices it has cost to insure one cat in previous years. This has left me confused. Would I be insuring 2 cats but only have a similar amount of financial cover as I would with one cat or am I reading it wrong?

Never looked at Multi-Pet before, I'd say the providers I just looked at were very poor at explaining the "multi" part.
In some cases it's clearly just individual policies for which you are just getting a multi-product discount (eg Tesco) and so without doubt limits are per pet not in aggregate. ManyPets is clear the limit is per animal insured. I suspect that others are similar but just less clear cut in their wording.0
