The low mist and rain have cleared - the sun may come out today. Yesterday was another washout. This morning I'm off shortly down to Glasgow to have new brakes on my car. It's a great day for driving, so far! Could do with some warmth too.My neighbour came yesterday, investigated the downstairs cistern and decided that it'd need a new bit. Realistically I can live with it trickling to fill, as long as the cut-off still works. So, no action yet.Hugs to all, hope that everyone has a good day.12

Morning All
Oh dear Gers, has it been annoying you all night? Thanks for the start.
It's a bright morning after the torrential rain for hours and hours yesterday, the garden won't need watering for the rest of the year! Wash load out, should dry today.
Thank goodness the rain has stopped as it's sports day today, nothing worse than having to cancel and re-schedule.
That's such a shame that Rob doesn't have the money he should have Ruby, have you had your money back yet? Will you have to find a totally new job or will you be able to take on some new clients? If only the family and SW could see the wider picture.
Nothing much happening here apart from work being absolutely mad, thankfully there are only a few weeks left to the end of term.
Glad your trip wasn't as bad as you feared Mehefin - must have been the cake!
Hope everyone is well and you have a good day. Take care. XX13 -
Morning GERS and all to follow. Grr to that bull, I gather it woke you up early again! Another wet night here but it's stopped now and we are in for an OK sort of day before our one day heatwave tomorrow.
I'm up and at 'em early doors as I finally have my check up of the right eye this morning. I hope I get an early appointment for the left eye cataract seeing to as I am sick of groping around with everything out of focus. And not being able to read and struggle with computer is a pain. I shall still need varifocals eventually but look forward to being able to see properly again. DD is not working so she is able to pick me up and I hope we don't get lost like last time. We endeId up going round the same roundabout about half a dozen times and I was seeing Manchester Road in my sleep! It's a bit of an out of the way clinic to find.
Other than that not much else is planned for when I get back. If the sun finally gets out I might just have a potter in the back . Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all xx

Morning allThat bull needs a silencer fitted it seems GersCloudy but a bit warmer today. Still gusty thoughNo plans for today apart from putting the breadmaker on. Love a slice of toasted fruit loaf for breakfast!Probably do a bit in the garden. Always weeds and brambles to get on top of. They seem to grow overnight!I've noticed over the last few weeks that we seem to be getting lots of magpies in the garden. I counted 9 on one rooftop the other day. Noisy blighters too they are.Have a good day all x12

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers. Safe journey to Glasgow.
Its cloudy and windy here, where's this heatwave I keep hearing about? It must be swerving us.
Hope your appointment goes well TA, I got my new glasses last week after my surgery in February.
I've had varifocals for a few years now, but my Dh prefers his bifocals.
Glad your weekend wasn't too bad Mehefin.
Nothing happening today except the arrival of a new bed for the spare room.
Hope everyone is ok and has good days. Take care folks.

Hi
Very busy here - last couple of weeks of exams and trying to cram in resits etc. Having to whizz home at lunchtime for dog duties this week too. And the garden is needing lots of watering and attention though the raspberries are just starting to ripen which is good news.A weird thing happened this morning - about 2 months ago I mislaid my good gardening gloves, figured I’d left them somewhere or they’d got mixed up in some rubbish. This morning went to let Bdog out and they were on the patio, under an overhanging rose bush…….now I don’t think they’ve been hiding in that bush all the time and just dropped out. One is slightly nibbled……..I just can’t get my head around it! 😂
It’ll be a mystery for ever more I think.Have a good day all.AA14 -
Morning everyone just off out to a cleaning job it’s bright but not very warm I managed to get my washing dry yesterday just before the rain came. TA I hope your appointment goes well and you are soon in for your next one . I’ve taken chops out for tonight but otherwise not a lot happening. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing13

Good morning
Drizzling and very breezy here. I didn't get on here yesterday, Mrs ND was returning to hospital for her next round of treatment, so I spent some time with her.
Today will be a catch up of chores not done yesterday. Either salmon or kievs for tea, will choose later.
Have a good day all, take care.11 -
Morning all
Its a bit overcast here this morning but meant to brighten up later, I hope so as I have three people coming so need to keep them amused.
Camelot I will still work for the Scheme I’m working for atm, and will still have my other people on Tuesdays and the Scheme are looking out for other people for me but they are not having many referrals through atm so I am looking for something else as well as this, I sent two messages last night enquiring about jobs so I have made a start.
I got a message from the sw yesterday saying that the family wanted proof that the £59 they sent for Rob in March had been spent on him 🙄 before they would send the money, luckily I am very good at keeping records and I emailed back with copies of around 40 receipts (that will keep them busy 😬) I think they thought I had pocketed the £59 as that’s what they have been doing for years. The books were balanced down to the last penny! Within an hour I had my money in my account 😃 but not a penny for Rob 🙄 so I sent an immediate email back saying that he needs some money to get him through till the end of the month, they really are horrible people with no thought at all for his quality of life 😡
Dinner tonight will be something with chips, dd is working late so just OH and I here for dinner, I need to run the hoover round this morning, dd will take the dogs out before work.
Mehefin glad the weekend was ok xx
TA good luck for today xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Good morning 😊
My mum's eye implant went okay yesterday. She did feel it a bit, but it didn't hurt. She had had five months of injections in her left eye, and it was no worse than that. The implant should last six months, and hopefully, her eye sight will improve.
I am playing catch-up today.
I'm going to give the kitchen a good clean, then sort through the cupboards under the sink as part of my decluttering.
I'm going to go back to the local food pantry today. It was okay last week, but I don't know what it will be like on a weekly basis. The people seem very nice there, and it appears that they are happy to have a natter over a hot drink. Very friendly.
I am doing both a chicken and vegan chicken pasta bake with leeks and celery, for tonight. There will be plenty left for lunches then.
Hope you all have a good day 😊12
