Neff oven -telescopic rails - pyrolytic cleaning

Hello.

So, I just did a pyrolytic clean on my Neff oven- max level 3!!

Anyway, I didn't read the instructions saying to take all racks and grill pans etc out.

The job is now complete. However the telescopic rails are a little stiff and a bit grindy and squeaky!

Can someone who knows the internal workings of these runners tell me what I have done?

The runner grooves have a white powder in them. Is that the 'ashes'  of a cooked grease. Would washing and regreasing be enough (the neff manual suggests regreasing 'with a suitable grease')

Or have the bearings been damaged beyond repair? Any plastic parts.

£60 fir a new pair of runners. Suitable grease ain't cheap either

What should I do?

Hope you can help

Phil

    Hi.
Not something I'm familiar with, but I understand you can expect a fine ash following the process. Yes, brush and damp-cloth all that away.
What type of runners are these? I presume they just 'slide' and don't have rollers or bearings? If so, then hopefully a smear of 'suitable grease' - no idea, but possibly silicone as it's heat resistant? - should hopefully sort it. But ask Neff - they'll likely have a 'chat' feature on their site.
However, there's also a chance the moving parts have been warped by the extreme heat. Have you tried taking them fully out, and laying them on a flat surface like your worktop to check?
I'm sure it's all sortable, but photos of the problem parts will always help.

They look very similar to ours, a non-Bosch group brand, which has some form of roller or bearings in it to make it move more easily when loaded.

Thanks. Fair chance they have been distorted or otherwise damaged by the intense heat.
Phil could you remove them and take some photos? Obviously, brush them down and clean them as much as possible, too.
