Tiger rolls and doughnuts

I ordered two TGTG bakery boxes from Morrisons, and I received 28 rock hard tiger rolls and 15 sugared ring doughnuts (also a couple of loaves of bread which are now in the freezer and will be fine for toast.
Any ideas on what to do with the rolls and doughnuts, apart from the obvious!! Was thinking of cutting the rolls into cubes and freezing, then frying off for croutons for soup or salad, or breadcrumbs that i probably wouldnt use, but lost for other ideas.
Don't want to waste them, as that defeats the object.

You can freeze doughnuts and just take out and defrost when you want one (add extra sugar if you wish😊)
Could also make a take on bread and butter pudding.... Doughnut style2 -
The rolls could just be whizzed up for breadcrumbs (as they're rock-hard already)2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used

You can refresh rolls by sprinkling with water and putting in oven for 3 - 5 minutesDecluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

"rock hard tiger rolls"
Lightly wet a roll and reheat in the oven for 4-6 mins (it should come back to life).
You could also make "Dublin Gur Cake" with leftover bread3 -
How about a Panzanella Salad from this list or Queen of Puddings or Bread and Butter Pudding (savoury or sweet) or using them in these Crispy Black Bean Burgers. You could also use them to make Poor Man's Parmesan usually called Pangrattato this is a recipe I can vouch for that includes it or this one here.3

You could cut the rolls in half and add garlic butter/ oil. If you then put them in the oven in foil, the moisture from the butter should moisten the bread. I'm certain that a lot of these traditional foods were invented to use up stale produce. Or toasted under the grill with butter and cheese on them.Donuts could be sliced and used as the base for a trifle, and are really nice with hot custard, or heated in the microwave and treated to a scoop of icecream ..........and this is why I've never been a size 104

Definitely crouton-fodder! I bulk make chunky ones flavoured with chilli, rosemary etc and they stay fresh for ages in empty chocolate tubs. Great to snack on although not exactly healthy I admit.
I gave up on Morrisons TGTG bags over a year ago after I was given a bag full of food not fit for consumption, swimming in some kind of liquid. It was vile.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.1 -
Another one given up on TGTG bags as well. Only ever used Morrisons and Aldi. Morrisons invariably had inedible food in and the Aldi ones tended to have far too much of one type of food - last time was 6 boxes of mushrooms! We eat quite a lot of mushrooms but not that much. I froze some but quite honestly they're only of use in a stew or to make soup!2

I'm another one who's given up on TGTG2

Cut them in half and make pizza rolls? Cut the top off, scoop out and serve soup in them? Panzanella and ribolatta are good uses, as are Glamorgan sausages. Croutons and croute are also a good use, and then breadcrumbs.
You can make savoury bread and butter pudding too but have never tried.:eek::eek: LBM 11/05/2010 - WE DID IT - DMP of £62000 paid off in 7 years:jDFD April20174
