Completing tomorrow - understanding of the process/next steps

Hi everyone,
We complete on our house tomorrow. We're FTB and in a chain of 4 properties.
In terms of collecting the keys, is there a standard (rough) time estimate as to when this will be done? I assume the more properties in a chain the more complicated it gets and therefore the more room for delays?
And then for things to do as soon as we have the keys, can anyone think of anything missing?:
We've arrange things like TV/broadband to move over, notified council etc.
I've read some people mention about changing locks - is that expensive to do? (I know the need for it just trying to work out how much that would be)

- Do meter readings
- Start changing addresses over (we're renting currently so have keys until EOM)
- Find energy supplier
- Decorate
- Move in

I changed the locks the day I completed in January as my house had been rented out and I had no idea how many sets of keys there were. I can’t recall the exact cost but it was under £200 for two sets (three keys for each) of anti-snap locks fitted by Timpson.0

Y0ur solicitor should inform you when the keys have been released
Energy. Register with current supplier before you switch
if they are cylinder locks and you can use a screwdriver then it’s easy, (YouTube will show you how) Wicks have plenty but you need to know the measurements of existing (you could take one out and measure it or take one with you)
Don’t forget water meter

OP - You might find the existing supplier has good enough deals, so maybe no need to switch . In any case even if you did it is not an urgent priority.0
