Appealed/Rejected but rejection email not received

Hi

after some advice, I received a parking notice from initial parking on 8th April citing I had unpaid tariff. I had paid £3 in cash and on returning to my car at 10:10pm (within timeframe) I had a flat tyre. My parking was paid till 10:15 and I left at 10:40pm. I appealed citing I had paid and returned but exceptional circumstances meant I couldn’t leave on time. I also had no more cash on me and there was no pay online app available. Plus it was in Wales, st Mary’s church car park so I had no signal. I don’t have a spare tyre (like many new cars) and was attempting to use the foam however another driver had a pump and we managed to do this and I was then able to leave. I appealed on these grounds. I used advice from this site for this.

I didn’t not receive any more letters via post till a debt recovery letter 28th May. I have attempted to appeal again citing no response to my appeal. However today, initial parking have responded by email stating they did respond on 22nd April via email. I honestly didn’t get this email. I have checked my inbox, other, junk and deleted and nothing. Their correspondence (letter) states they will response in written form, I was looking out for a letter in the post.

The code for POPLA is now classed as invalid, what could be my next stage? Write to the landowner? I paid for parking and exceptional circumstances meant I couldn’t leave on time. I think this is unfair.

Thanks for reading and any advice

Rebekah

You just sit tight and ignore it. Scam invoice IMHO and the industry is rotten. You don't pay these all the time that the parking industry is unregulated.

The NEWBIES thread explains what to ignore and which stage can't be ignored. There's no need (or time!) for us to go over this standard stuff on individual threads. This is why the NEWBIES thread says 'please read these FAQS first'.

Come back if you get a court claim (and obviously tell them if you move house).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

Hi Rebekah, thanks for posting this. I'm in a similar situation too.

Appealed, and was advised that the outcome would be sent in the post. Nothing came in the post. Because I didn't know the outcome because the supposed letter didn't arrive, I was denied the chance to 2nd appeal or taking it via the POPLA or IAS route.

Got a threatening letter from DCBL the other day demanding almost double the money. I still have no idea what the outcome of the appeal was (I can only assume it was denied).

I have also been advised to ignore the debt collectors letters, although with the way they write and threaten you, it's difficult. It's all a scam.
