Morning Scarlett and all to follow,
Dry here for now and meant to get sunny later on, I have Rob coming today and we are going to meet our friends for a seafront walk and a picnic, he won’t be able to buy himself an ice cream or a cold drink bless him, thank goodness that the home provide him with a packed lunch!DD is off today so she is going to make us a lasagne with GF pasta, I love lasagne but hate making it so I shall look forward to it.
I need to run the hoover over this morning and hang the washing once it’s finished.
I really need to concentrate on finding more work this week, I have been feeling very down about everything and not been able to face doing it, but needs must so I shall make an effort this week.
I hope everyone had a good weekend xx
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
Morning again, it's fine here.
Not much going on here, I didn't get out in the garden yesterday, it was showery so I used that as an excuse! It'll have to be done though. It's not even a big garden, I must shift my arris and just do it.
Ruby, I hope you find something soon, it's been such a bad time for you.
I'm visiting one of my house bound old lady friends this afternoon. I can walk there, it's nearby.
We'll have to finish clearing the spare bedroom today for the delivery of a new bed tomorrow - we got rid of the sofa bed we had in there and have ordered a single.
That's about it really, hope everyone has as good a day as they can.
Take care folks.14 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. It's fine for now and that dratted nithering wind has finally dropped. Sadly there are light showers forecast from mid morning, coming and going throughout the day.
I need to trip down into town at some point as I have some meds to pick up from B**ts.. I also have a little list of other bits and pieces whilst down there. Straight down and back hopefully, bus permitting.
Not much else on the agenda just some pottering with this and that when I get back. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. RUBY I hope Rob surprises you and turns up with some spending money. Poor lad, his family seem to be taking advantage of what should be his money. Take care all and stay safe xx

Morning all - so much for flaming June!Yesterday my washing almost dried. I took fright and brought it in a bit sooner than it needed as the sky clouded over. It was only the waistbands of pyjama trousers which were still damp so they are now over the bannister.Come 'summer' - come the blooming bull again. Why he feels it better to bellow all night rather than sleep is beyond my ken. Of course, he then snoozes during the day. At least there's just one so he's really making all that racket for nothing. This morning I have my exercise class and then, fingers crossed, a neighbour is coming across to look a the downstairs loo. Of course, Argyll time may kick in.@Ruby - I hope that something is resolved soon for both you and Rob. Major good luck vibes to you.Hugs to all,12

Thank you for the start @ScarletRibbons
The bad weather over the weekend didn't happen. Sometimes think I could do a better job looking out of the window.
Keep saying I'm going to declutter but it never seems to happen. Really must try harder.
@Ruby hope you find more work soon and Rob's family pay you what they owe.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.13 -

Good morning froma dull and overcast Mehefinland.
Well I'm back in one piece form the visit to DS and the Toxic Troll. Actually it wasn't too bad and can grudgingly say I had a nice time. The journey there and back was a bit of a pain, hit gridlocked roadworks on the way down, Not too bad on the return. Had a long heart to heart with the pair of them and things are much better between us. All helped with copious amounts of cake of course! Had a visit to Shaftesbury to see the famous Gold Hill (of Hovis fame) amongst other things. A huge Hovis loaf at the top (charity collecting box), stupendous views , and reminded me very much of some of the little market towns you come across. A bit 'touristy', with absolutely loads of cafe/coffeshops and shops of a certain kind - knick-knacks etc. A lovely bakery doing a roaring trade - a first for me- Wiltshire pasties. Bit like a mince beef pie and piping hot. Well you have to try don't you!
They are now, finally, talking about getting wed next year so I suppose that's a positive. Might have to rename her!! i think she will always be the Toxic Troll for me though, even subconsciously!
Garden survived my absence, and Hele looked after the nags ok, so all's well for now.
Hugs and spoons as always

Morning all, dull & grey here but at least it's not raining. Didn't manage to post yesterday, so just caught up. DH did the cooking yesterday, doing some small tapas plates, very nice. I'm putting a chicken in the sc for later as I'm not sure what time we'll be home tonight, DGS has been asked to join a development squad for a trial, and they are playing the academy team.2 others from his Sat team are also asked , so hope they do alright.I've ordered an underlay mat as since we got our new carpet, the rug moves every time you walk on it. I've tried the double sided tape and one of those rubbery mesh mats to no avail. Don't really want to try one of the tips I read online which goes ' make two small holes in the corner of the rug, & 2 in the carpet and tie them together 'Right better get this chicken in, hope you are all ok & have a good day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Good morning ☺️
It's going to be a busy day, today. My mum is having the implant put in her eye, so I am going to go over there shortly, to accompany her. No cooking for me later, as I won't be back until late. I don't know yet, what I will have.
I sorted the swivel cabinet above the sink in the half bathroom, this morning. Not a big job, but suitable due to time constraints. Even so, I still managed to throw a few things away.
Other than that, I had a quick swish around, picking up anything that wasn't in its rightful place.
Hope you all have a good day ☺️11 -
Morning allJust back from visiting a new B&* store that's replaced Home****. The original store had an upstairs and they've kept it but don't have a lift so a row of trollies are at the bottom while people go up to have a look round (mine included). Not very well thought out. Maybe they couldn't afford escalators!!Didn't get much but they had a good garden area outside so some plants jumped into the trolley while I was looking around. Will finish my coffee and then plant them out.Good luck job hunting Ruby.Have a good day all x9
