Getting a Mortgage

Hi, I have recently been able to take advantage of taking one of my pensions early and have had a lump sum.
I have put the majority of this into Premium Bonds as I want to buy a house in the future
I have paid off some urgent bills
I am in a DMP with Step Change and want to pay this off and am in process of getting settlement etc
Now I want to know how long I need to wait for all this to show favourably on my credit files etc to be able to apply for a MORTGAGE
Is there anything I can do to improve my chances of getting a Mortgage
I have paid off a couple of debts - O2 - mobile accounts and a few credit cards etc which are already showing as paid off
Are there any companies who specialise in Mortgages for people who have had previous issues with credit - I will have no debts once the DMP is paid off which I am hoping to all be settled by the End of June
Any help would be great - I guess high street lenders will not touch me with a barge pole despite having a good income, a pension and PIP meaning I have a great income now and more than half of my income is surplus meaning I can save a lot of money until I am able to get someone to give me a mortgage - I have £30,000 in Premium Bonds too
