Good morning, thanks for starting us Scarlet.
Dry and sunny outside... at the moment.
Yesterday turned into a cupboard tidying day as I found homes for the stocks I bought on Friday. All sorted now.
Dinner today will be a chunky shepherds pie using up all the scrappy bits from the Easter lamb, I'll add some onions and mushrooms too. Nice comfort food for the thunderstorms we're forecast later. Other than that a sloth Sunday is on the cards.
Have a good day all, take care.13 -
Morning again, it's sunny here, I might put some washing out.
Yesterday was an ok day, we didn't do a lot except go out for a bit of shopping and got caught in a shower on the way home..
I finished some ironing, and Dh had a grout free day. He'll finish it today.
I could really do with getting out in the front garden, the weeds are springing up thick and fast after the rain we've had.
TA I'm the same about social occasions, almost dread them, yet I enjoy them once I get there, strange isn't it.
Hope everyone's ok and has a good day, take care folks.

Morning all
Yesterday’s weather failed to deliver the forecast thunderstorms with just some showers - I’d already planned indoor jobs so just carried on. Bedroom emptied (apart from bed and wardrobe) and a good clean including shampooing the carpet - how can an upstairs carpet get some mucky with no outdoor shoes!? Anyway all looks lovely now - just curtains to wash today.Hoping today stays dry ish for outdoor jobs day.Take care all

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. We were lucky yesterday with the weather as the thunderstorms didn't get up to us, nor did we have any rain at all. Sadly that nithering wind was back with us and it felt really chilly. What's happened to Flaming June!
Well I survived the ordeal of the party yesterday but it was so noisy and I can't hear close conversation as the background noise overpowers it. I'm not into circulating and making idle chitchat these days so I was a bit of a recluse and me and the 2 younger DGDs (who have yet to learn to circulate) kept ourselves out of the way most of the time. The highlight though was the buffet. One of the nicest I have had and everything was beautifully cooked.
Today is SS day with DS but I don't need much at all due to the shopping trip I had with DD t'other day. Other than that I think it will be a day in the Land of Sloth. I think DS may be a bit bleary eyed as once he ran me home from the party he had to go on the tedious drive to Manchester airport to pick up his DP after her girlie few days in the Canaries. I hope her flight wasn't delayed.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Good morning 😊
It’s a slow start here, as we stayed up until 3.30a.m. watching WWE’s Money in the Bank. So far, I’m the only one awake.
Our walk in the woods was lovely. It did rain, but we were sheltered by the trees. Usually, there are deer, but we didn’t see any yesterday.
On to today.
I have put a joint of beef in the slow cooker for later, and need to peel some potatoes. I am having some vegan salmon. It’s going to be a chore-free day, but I do plan on sorting the toiletries rack in the main bathroom. That has six shelves, and is full to overflowing with new stuff, half empty bottles of stuff, and things that could be thrown away. I will start on that once I go up for my shower.
Hope you all have a good day 😊

Morning All
Bright and sunny at the moment but rain due later. Bedding on the line along with a few other bits, hoping it can be nearly dry before I go out later or it rains.
Productive day yesterday, the plant swap was very quiet - I took loads of cucumbers, tomatoes and strawberries but I seemed to be the only one there. I picked up a couple of things for the garden including a budjela cutting that I've already potted on.
I'll go swimming this morning then visit allotment 2 to see how the sweetcorn is getting on - it may have been munched by the rabbits!
Lunch out at a friends today that I'm looking forward to, I made some lemon curd to take.
Hope you all have a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX10 -

Morning all - back from my trek down south. Apart from lots and lots of roadworks gumming up every road and encountering horse drawn carriages near Appleby my drives there and back were very enjoyable. I stopped a couple of times each way and made great progress. My seemingly 4* hotel in Darlington was a huge disappointment, not my idea of 4* at all. I didn't make any fuss as 1) the first night it had every woman's cycling team doing the round Britain race and, because of that 2) there wouldn't any rooms to move to. The litany of problems is too long and depressing for here. Anyway, I survived it, gave the receptionist the observations before I left and I won't go back. The funeral itself turned out so well, the toxic woman came even though her horrible texts were adamant that she wouldn't. And she stayed for the wake (ditto). And she hugged and kissed her mother, another act given a toxic layer of hate on text. No-one had to intervene. The service was very good as was the wake. Afterwards a few close friends and family went back to my friends' house for an evening of conviviality. My UTI didn't respond to the first three days of ABs, luckily I had foreseen this and arranged with my practice nurse for a stand-by script. Now I've got a washing load on and hoping that the rain holds off when it's pegged out. So far, there's not been any hint of this morning but I'm sure that flash bouts are due. My downstairs loo is broken, the part which controls the filling up is leaking and dribbling so I jammed the mechanism open so that it didn't dribble all night and (maybe) flood downstairs. Another job for next week.I haven't been reading along so really hope that there's not too much bad news and that all are doing well. Hugs.13

Thanks for the start @Scarlet and a good morning to all. It's breezy and sunny here at the moment but rain is on its way (again) and, if we're lucky, we might get up to 15 deg. It would feel much milder if that wind would go away but at least everything looks greener and lush after the rain.
@Gers - Good to hear the funeral went better than expected and that the toxic one showed some decorum, shame about the hotel though.
I've nothing in particular planned for today other than the usual daily tasks although I do have a whole raft of things I could do if I put my mind to it! Dinner tonight is the last couple of gammon slices from the freezer with baby potatoes, broccoli and braised red cabbage, chocolate mousse for afters. DS will be calling in soon and I've finished reading another book that I can to pass on to him. I'm hoping he will put my mirror back up in the living room for me while he's here - the fixings aren't that secure and I don't trust myself with a drill. The mince I cooked yesterday made enough for three cottage pie bases, all frozen now.
Take care and have a good day whatever you have planned, hugs where needed/wanted. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.12
