Options
A solicitors messed up a Will-I was advised (by them to get a solicitor) which I did, to get the errors rectified! I now have large bill-is it worth/ likely to take solicitors (who messed up) to small claims for my costs?

Have you discussed the problem with the original solicitor? Do so, and if that does not get you anywhere then follow their complaints process.

The next step is to contact the Solicitors' Regulatory Authority, who have a scheme to put things right for anyone who is badly served by a solicitor.

I would never attempt to use the legal system against a lawyer: there are any number of tricks and loopholes that they can use to ensure that you always lose.
