Leeds Bradford airport no stopping question

Such is my luck. My car was used today to drop two people off at Leeds Bradford airport. Unfortunately they took a wrong turn, and ended up in the meet and greet carpark. They stopped and the passengers got out. Then drove through the meet and greet carpark to exit as he thought it would be better than reversing back out onto the road.
Just a total mistake on the driver's part but as he has never been. When he was leaving somebody said you get a £100 fine for stopping in the No-stop zone. If the driver writes to Leeds Bradford and explains it was a mistake as he's never been what are the chances of avoiding a fine?

There definitely wont be a fine, magistrates issue fines, but wont be involved here
The keeper should wait for a pcn , invoice, to arrive in the post
Then the keeper appeals using the typical airport template response as seen in numerous other airport threads on here, based on no keeper liability
No writing to the airport or to VCS
No blabbing about who was driving or about the incident itself, just the no keeper liability aspect, at the correct time3 -
Thank you I will just wait then 🙂1

Unenforceable nonsense.
It's a contract. You either read and accept or you read and refuse. To just be able to gleam "no stopping" is not sufficient. What are the consequences? What other restrictions are there other than this? Etc etc.
They are bizarrely placed at the corner of the roads as you turn in.
1. They're badly sited, not very visible and on some entrances they are on the right hand side of the road.
2. To read them you have to stop on a double red line on the public highway or stop in the middle of a junction.
3. You can't refuse the contract. There is no way to turn around because there is a traffic island to the right.
The equivalent of a mobile phone contract being held 5 metres away from your face by the salesman, who gives you 3 seconds to read it and the only options are to accept the contract or accept the contract.
Downright fraud.3 -

There was two barriers on the entrance, and then to the side of the barriers a roadway through the carpark that had some cones moved to the side, he saw somebody go through the coned area so followed them, he thinks this was a security guard or something as he got out of his car and said it's a £100 fine. No barriers on exit apparently.0 -
On the way back my friend said he drove past the signs and they're right on the corner as you turn in. No wonder he missed them, as soon as you see them you're past them!0

Exactly. Even if you saw them there is no opportunity to read them.No contract.1
