Total Parking Solutions - Fine for overstaying, they have exaggerated the exit time by an hour!!

Options
Just come home to a fine for overstaying by Total Parking Solutions.. it’s a 90 minute stay & they are suggesting we stayed for 120 minutes.

The entry & exit photos are of the correct car, but they have added an hour onto the exit photo & I’m honestly so angry.  Luckily I have both timestamped dashcam footage of both entry & exit I have downloaded showing we only stayed 60 minutes & also home CCTV showing timestamped we arrived home before the time in their exit photo.

It feels like a blatant fraudulent fine / scam via them, and no way this could be an accident.  We’ve obviously appealed it directly with them & are awaiting to hear their reasoning, but for those who had no evidence - where would it leave them.

I’m not sure what else we can do here, I don’t really want to leave it as it is..

Just after anyone else’s thoughts or suggestions on what we should do.

Firstly,  it's not a fine,  its an invoice for the alleged breach of the parking contract on that private property,  a Parking Charge Notice,  PCN, from a private parking company

Magistrates issue fines,  but haven't any involvement here

Presumably you told them that the pcn was incorrectly issued because the driver was on site for only 60 minutes and has dashcam footage to prove it

One thought I had was,  did a driver return for a second visit,  causing more pictures,  in which case it could be the first entry to the last exit,  ignoring the middle 2  ?  Known as double dipping   ?

Your dashcam footage should have answers if that was the case,  but your CCTV footage seems to rule that out

But you will have to wait for their decision,  but could follow plan A with a complaint to the landowner or managing agents or business

Wait for their explanation then put in a complaint with them and their client landowner that the exit ANPR camera is set an hour out, and all PCNs must be cancelled/refunded or you will go to the DVLA, your MP and the national press with your evidence.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
