Morning allHad a lie in until 6am this morning. WhoopeeeBreadmaker going on and rock cakes being made this morning. Hopefully between rain showers I want to take down our collapsible greenhouse. I've left it up a bit longer because of the strong winds we have as seedlings in there can't be planted out yet but I'll put them somewhere sheltered now until this wind gives up, if it ever does.Apart from that nothing going on except stripping and making our bed.Have a good day all x12

Morning again, it's fine here, for now anyway.
Not a lot going on here, except dh is rejuvenating some grouting in the bathroom ( he knows how to live the high life). He doesn't seem to be as tired as he has been since radiotherapy and hormone treatment, though he'll have the hormones at intervals for quite a while yet.
I visited an old friend who is house bound yesterday with some shopping, and was glad to get home. Nothing to do with my friend but I was very tired and really could have done with staying at home.
I'm ashamed to say that I was relieved when another friend rang to say she wouldn't be popping round last night because she'd had a busy day and was tired!
I have a bit of shopping to do today, and that's it really.
Thoughts to anyone who is on holiday, have fun! Also to anyone who is sad, or not well.
Take care folks.12 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET for starting us off. It's fine here for now but the inevitable showers are forecast again. I think we have had enough rain for now.
It's SILs 70th birthday party this afternoon, at a lovely pub above the other side of town. The conservatory has been reserved but she doesn't think it will be big enough as the guest list has grown a lot since her DIL arranged it. Oh well, more people to hide away behind. I am getting worked up about it already. I wish I could enjoy these big do's like most folk but I dread them. I am dithering about what to wear too. I got a summer dress (in a, sale of course) a few months back and then the impulse buy last w/e in Ilkley.. DD delivered our gifts yesterday and SIL texted to say she loved the watch I had bought her and it's just what she would have chosen herself so I am happy about that.
Other than that nothing else is on the agenda for today. The tall freezer in the garage is STILL awaiting defrosting so maybe I could do that this morning.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or sad. RUBY I hope you manage a relaxing w/e after your upsetting week. Take care all, be safe xx

Good morning
Cloudy and dry, I'm sure I see the sun trying to peek through, not the rain we were forecast.... yet.
Yesterday I went with DH to the diy store, then to Morries, Lids and Ald*, ,so I'm all shopped out now. The fridge and freezer are overflowing so I'll be spending today making a meal plan for the next week. No more shopping for a while, hmm, says she.
Spoke too soon about the weather, now coming over dark, and light rain. Not going out other than dog walks which OH will do, they wont take long as big dog hates the rain.
Well, that's my exciting life for today, have a good Saturday all. Take care.11 -
Morning All
Dry here for now but it doesn't look promising! I've just done a wash load but that can stay inside today - there's not a breath of wind out there so no chance of it drying outside anyway. Ironing done and the DW is doing it's thing.
There's a plant swap on this morning at the local library so I'll take some cucumber and pepper plants I have spare and see what there is. After I'll go check on the allotments and see if anything is actually growing, it's been pretty chilly and wet so it could be slow progress!
I hope you're ok Ruby, the decisions regarding Rob are truly shocking. I feel you have a long slog ahead of you - hats off to you for fighting for him, he's worth it.
Hope your funeral went ok Gers and there wasn't any toxicity.
Enjoy your party TA, big groups aren't really my thing either but a good friend deserves your company.
Hope you're feeling better today Scarlet, pleased to hear your DH is up to doing some jobs about the house.
Right, I must get in the shower and start the day properly. Hugs to anyone in need. Take care. XX

Good morning 😊
We have a woodland walk planned for this afternoon, dependant on the weather. It’s dry at the minute, and we have ponchos, if there’s a bit of rain, but anything heavier and we will cancel.
My puy green lentil bolognese was a success yesterday - with the meat eaters. Thankfully, there is more than enough for a meal for myself later, so no cooking. The wrestling is on tonight, and that usually involves ordering in, so I will likely rustle up something light around six o’clock, as it doesn’t start until midnight and they like to eat whilst watching.
This morning, I sorted through the storage racks under the stairs. I had more bottles of cordial than I thought, so no buying any for a while. There were also a few boxes of noodles, so again, that’s off my list. Items for the charity shop are building up again, so I might pay them another visit during the week.
Apart from the usual tidy around, I don’t have much else to do in the way of household chores.
Hope you all have a good day 😊

Morning everyone i don’t think it knows what to do outside its a bit brighter but mizzly rain we are forecast heavy showers for later . I’ve been to Lidl and managed to get a large chicken for 2 pounds that will do for tomorrow I’ve got gammon steaks for tonight we were supposed to have them last night but when I got in from the charity shop hubby had a whirring tummy so we just had something light I got a nice gilet yesterday for 2 pounds as good as new bargain. Not a lot happening today I need to get some birthday cards I will pop out later but they are not for a couple of weeks so it won’t matter if I get them later otherwise just housework. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all, thanks for the start Scarlet & happy to hear DH is feeling better and pottering doing jobs. It's raining here , quite hard. We're having a lazy start, I lay in bed reading for ages, reason being DGS match has swapped venues and time. Normally they have the 9 o clock slot but it's not until 10.45.Fed the birds, the wood pigeons look a bit bedraggled.DH is aiming to cook tonight, we bought some lovely kebabs at the garden centre we visited the other day. He was hoping to bbq them but that looks unlikelyTA, I know what you mean about big 'do's but hopefully you can have a good natter with someone and enjoy it.DB2 rang yesterday afternoon & we had a good chat. We don't see them quite as often as when the football season is in progress. Then we have plenty of time before the match and half time to have a drink & catch up. He said he and SiL have booked a cheeky 5 nights away in Spain in a couple of weeks, their main hol is in July. Not much else to witter on about so as it's raining even harder now, I'll go and rethink my footwear for the boys match, although its an all weather pitch getting to it from the car park may be a bit boggy.Take care all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
