Scotland - Additional Dwelling Supplement query

Hi
I am considering purchasing property in Scotland to live in. I own a few plots of land (undeveloped) abroad that were passed to me through inheritance. Is the additional dwelling supplement due in this scenario? My share of these properties is probably around £50,000 on their current valuations.

No, properties aren’t relevant if they’re not dwellings.2

as above, only dwellings count, not mere land owned2

Thanks for the answers. Is there any kind of paper work that needs to be submitted on these in relation to the properties themselves? E.g. deeds?
Also would the presence of outbuildings on a piece of land, like a small machine room housing a pump, affect this or is it specific to buildings that are dwellings? May sound like a stupid question but it's difficult to find any detail on how this stuff is assessed.0 -
A dwelling is a building that is designed for people to live in.
LBTT is self-assessment, you’d only need to produce evidence in the (immensely unlikely) event that Revenue Scotland discover you own these properties and think they are dwellings.2 -

Thanks. Well that clarifies it. Makes life easier.
Yeah but with tax legislation I do prefer being certain over assuming things based on what sounds obvious, however I think this clarifies it sufficiently for me, so thanks for posting it.Bookworm225 said:
meaning of the word dwelling should be pretty obvious to start with, but look here to comfort yourselfVertig0 said:but it's difficult to find any detail on how this stuff is assessed.
