No problem, just try and stay calm, remember you aren't the only person in debt, it is very common.

Whatever you do don't speak to your creditors, delete any numbers they use to call, text or E Mail you but open any letters you receive by snail mail and come on here with any queries you have.

Debt collection can be a very slow process that is why we are telling you to concentrate on saving for your big move.
Alright. Tomorrow I will start contacting all the utility bill providers to transfer into my monzo and also my workplace. Whew..😥 im going to keep posting here and ask for more help. How do I know which number my creditors are using? Do I just not answer??

Don't answer any calls you are unsure about, if you do answer by mistake don't say anything and put the phone down
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

Hi I don't understand why you say the account includes your husband for insurance purposes, the point is a joint account will affect his credit report as well as yours, so if it is joint he will be affected.

Hi! Will these creditors contact my employer? Or a relative that is here in the UK? Must be a stupid question but I want to make sure .🫣

As long as you haven't put a work phone number on any of your documents then no problem, it has been known for creditors to ring if they have the number but  all they would do is ask for you.

You have been told a number of times now that debt is only against you not any children or relatives.

OK Credit unions can be a pain in the xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

That will still need paying at least for the time being, you must have agreed to have it deducted from your salary, so it's up to you if you want to carry on with that or ask for it to be deducted from your bank account.

Do you owe any money to anyone who is in the same banking group as your current account?

If you do you need to get an account with a banking group you don't owe money to, if you do this you need to transfer vital direct debits manually and not use the banking switch service. Then you stop paying all unsecured debts as long as they aren't with a credit union.

This is the normal thing to do  so don't panic about it.
May I please know why credit unions are a pain? Thank you

"Some" credit unions may resort to legal action sooner rather than later, they tend to be more litigious that mainstream lenders, nothing for you to worry about on the other side of the world.

    Hi,

I couldn’t remember but all I remembered is they ask you online where you work and it says they wont contact your employer etc.

    That’s as much as I remember. 🫣🫣🫣

As with Credit union, according to Transave they can do a direct debit from my monzo instead if that is what I would like to do.

    Regards
