First Direct Notifications

About a week ago I noticed that I was getting notifications from FD for payments in and out of my current account. 

I hadn't noticed these before and just assumed I'd just missed them but as of yesterday, they stopped again.

My question is is this new thing from FD (perhaps being trialled) or has it always been there and perhaps my phone is a bit glitchy in picking them up?

Why not contact FD and ask them?

I started getting notifications  several months ago when FD ceased with text messages.   Type of notifications  can be toggled on and off from the main menu  ( preferences::: notification preferences)   in the app

I've never seen the notification preferences before however, everything is toggled to on by default. Interestingly whilst logging in just now to check, I was prompted to accept some cookies. I've never had that before so maybe there's been an update. I'll keep an eye on it to see how it behaves.

I get them on my phone and ipad for FD and Chase.

In the last 2 weeks both banks stopped them.

I tried the basics, settings etc, looked for updates.

Nothing worked.

Turned both off and on.

Notifications were back.

Interesting as I was messing about with my global settings a week or 2 back. I wonder if this was what triggered mine to start working as I don't recall ever seeing them before. I've got to transfer some funds for bills today. I'll try them in stages to see if messing with the settings can trigger them to start.

That's what I saw too but it didn't stop them from not notifying me of either deposits or withdrawals on Thurs/Fri (and prior to last week).

Anyway, yesterdays transfers (3 of them) all gave me a notification as well as a deposit today so all seems to be unblocked again now.
