Hi all
I live in Wales & am trying to establish what the 'earnings' threshold is to qualify for NHS dental costs.
I can find the threshold for investment/ savings but not earnings.
I have found the relevant forms & need to upload wage slips. Before I bother would like to know the income threshold
Cam anyone help please ?

Is this for the NHS LIS? If so they tell you how they work it out, but from my and others' investigations when this question crops up from time to time they don't seem to publish the thresholds and exact elements of what's considered necessary expenditure.1

What is LIS please?
Weird why they don't publish threshold. It would save a lot of admin time if they did 😕0 -

I wonder if it's partly because it's (presumably) complex and might put people off if they misunderstand it. And it probably depends on area for council tax, rent, etc. as well as depending on the makeup of your family unit, any other sources of income, etc.

If it was published people would know if it was worth bothering to apply.
In my opinion the criteria (if published) will save a lot of government money as people will be applying just because they didn't show the criteria, then discover they weren't eligible!

There is no fixed amount because it is worked out on each persons circumstances. It is based on what your income is compared to your living costs.
Everybody’s living costs will be unique to them.
e.g. How much rent , council tax etc you pay .
There is no one size fits all.Take two people with the same income but different eligible living costs. One could be eligible for help and one not.But if you don’t ask you will not know if you are eligible for help.2
