Anyone applied for a clean break with an online divorce

Options
I was wondering if anyone has done a Clean Break through their divorce that they have done online.

I have spoken with a solicitor but the costs are crazy. I have already applied for the Divorce online and we both have no assets/ children are now adults and we have been separated over 10 years.

If we both are happy to severe all ties. Can this clean break be done by ourselves

And no property or savings? Acquired during the marriage and/or before separating?

If you're both in agreement, then using a solicitor won't cost that much - they really make their money when couples don't agree.

The divorce is separate to the financial consent order process. For a consent order you need a draft order and a completed d81 form. If you don't know how to draft these yourself you need a solicitor

The D81 is a very simple form if you have zero assets.

Have you got any further with this one ? We were quoted £2500-£3000 by a solicitor to draft and submit our financial order. I’ve seen them online for £300 !
Like you, no house , no kids , no savings , pensions of similar value ( so are our debts !)

Yep I did it online with an online-only service and we had a house, savings and pensions. It was super easy. We got the CETV of our pensions and declared savings etc. The judge can't decline a clean break only ask questions if things don't look equitable/fair (they don't need to be equal). I kept the house as my earning power was lower and I was main carer for our daughter and he got all our savings so he could buy a new place (higher salary, more able to raise a mortgage). We kept our respective pensions. You don't need to be paying £s to solicitors!
    Choose kind:)
