HELP pls. C P Plus Ltd & Debt recovery

Options
22/2/25 my vehicle broke down at Wetherby motorway services. i had 3 children with me, one disabled (receiving PIP i am his carer). Rang RAC (that's ANOTHER story!!!!)... i had to pay for us to stay overnight at the services hotel due to RAC not being able to get out to us until late. i put a note on the vehicle dash explaining we were awaiting RAC etc etc. the RAC did not come until late afternoon and ubered us back (which should have been done in the first instance!) the vehicle was trailered away..... meantime.... i have moved house.... letters sent to old address, i was unaware. paid royal mail to redirect, obviously this made it into the empty property... i updated my driving licence details.
now (4/6)have a notice of debt recovery letter from DCBL. i have just rung them and they were quite curt, repeating over me trying to speak and explain what has happened. I said i would speak to C.A.B in the morning. they said they would still collect. i have made them aware i am a single parent and that my child is disabled and vulnerable. please advise. grateful for any help. THANKS

    Wait:

    "the vehicle was trailered away".

LOL. You will NEVER pay this!

DO NOT SPEAK TO CITIZENS ADVICE. THEY ARE SADLY CLUELESS ABOUT PARKING CHARGES AND THIS AREA OF LAW. EVEN THEIR NATIONAL ONLINE 'ADVICE' ON PRIVATE PARKING CHARGES AND COURT CLAIMS IS PLAIN WRONG.

    Ignore the CAB.

So, go onto Group Nexus' website and view the photos. The 'out' image is of the car being towed, isn't it?!

If you can't see the images online ask DCB Ltd to supply the "in" and "out" photo...then show us.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi CM, sorry i didnt make that clear.... It was trailered away by the RAC, for repair.... which i got back DAYS later. When i spoke to DCBL he said he could see teh note in teh image. My son should have had a blue badge at teh time but i had too much going on to sort it mid house move etc. I have since got one for him (funny that!).

Thank you so much for your advice, i will check their website. it worries me silly i will end up with a CCJ (still got my mortgage to sort & it would affect it!)

...i have been onto group nexus site. could not find an image as you suggested... but did manage to log an appeal (albeit late now!... everything crossed) ...had to really abbreviate everything to get details in. here's hoping.

Details: Dear Nexus. I spoke to DCBL yesterday who were quite rude and did not want to help. i have only just received notification of this tkt having moved house & updated my driving licence address etc. Royal mail clearly have not redirected all of my mail! vehicle was broken down, awaiting RAC recovery; advisory note clearly on teh dashboard (DCBL said could see in image). we had to stay at the services hotel o/n; myself, 3 children one disabled (receives highest level PIP). he has a blue badge.

That wasn't recommended but let's see what they say. You should have asked for the photos.

You cannot just end up with a ccj, it doesn't work that way as long as they write to the correct address

The claimant parking company could have a court claim issued, using MCOL,  in which case the Defendant defends
