Factor company sending final notice letter despite bill being paid

I’m in Scotland and my factor company have sent a final notice demanding payment of over £200. Thing is I paid already under the old account number. I was due to move house and it fell through so I had a float and admin fee to pay so we paid it a few weeks back only they set up a whole new account number and are asking for that payment again. What do you advise? That would be well over £440 which is crazy as we are £30 pounds per quarter. They have put a hold on m the demand for now but still say we could owe something? All very stressful I don’t see how I can pay the same fee twice?

If you're certain it's not due then try to explain that to them? I don't see any advantage in paying twice and hoping they eventually refund (this isn't a situation where paying "under protest" is helpful).
