Good morning 😊
An early start today, as I am going to visit family this a.m.
The sun is shining, so a wash load is out on the line. Keeping up with a declutter a day, I am about to sort the TV cabinet in the dining room. I ended up taking three bags to the charity shop yesterday.
My first visit to the local food pantry was good. There is no cooking for me today, as I picked up a family steak pie and oven chips, so the family can have that, and I will have the rest of the Tuno pasta bake.
I did stray from the shopping list in Aldi, but only to buy yellow sticker meats at either fifty, or seventy-five percent off. Those were bargains too good to miss, although I had to play around in the freezer to get everything in. Overall, though, spends were kept in check.
Hope you all have a good day 😊

Morning GERS and all to follow. I hope you are on the mend after your a/b's. I can sympathise as you might remember.
I was MIA yesterday as I got up with severe vertigo, I was reeling around like a drunkard. I just gave in to it and spent the day on the recliner under a throw. It's not something I usually experience. Anyway whatever caused it (probably a bug) has passed on and I am back to normal this morning. Well as normal as I can be until I get my eyes sorted! Still here on zoom.
I should have been meeting my DF for lunch yesterday (the first time since all the traumas with her DS started) but I had to cancel. We agreed if I felt ok after a good sleep we would meet today instead., so I'll be fit for that. Bus buddy has postponed until next Wednesday but that's another story! Back to DF's DS, he continues to make amazing progress with all drains and feeding tube out and a promise of going home if the progress continues. He's had a small op with stitches to make his tongue a better shape.
So far we have escaped the forecast heavy rain and gales. Just light rain yesterday with a breeze. We have had o/n rain by the look of it but today will be dry - or so the weatherman said! Sadly not very warm. The summer clothes weren't out long were they!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care xx

Morning all
The sun's shining here and I'm off to help at the Larder in a while.
Had a busy day yesterday; we took DH's car to have the air con checked and had to leave it at the garage all day. We consequently carried on to JL in the City Centre and ordered another couple of curtain samples, which might arrive today. Who knew choosing curtains was such hard work?! Finished all the ironing, so now have an empty airing cupboard and then watched the very first Phil and Kirsty Location show from 25 yrs ago, which I'd saved on the hard drive. The machine at the garage then broke down and we didn't get to collect the car until gone 5pm and it was a bit of a rush for me to get back, eat and get out again to play for the Morris at a pub near Dunstable. Luckily the air con has been re gassed and now seems to be working properly; I was convinced there was a leak and we'd need a replacement unit.
@Gers I do hope you're improving and the UTI clears up soon.
@TA same to you; I do hope you're recovered today; that came on suddenly. Your DF's DS is making amazing progress by the sound of it.
Have a good day everyone

After a day of feeling wretched yesterday, this morning I've bounced back. It wasn't so much the UTI but the ABs which always floor me. As it's been decades since I've had either I wasn't ready, anyway, I spent almost all the day in bed sleeping, apart from sleep-walking to the loo a few times. I came downstairs for a bowl of soup and a sandwich before going back up to bed.If I had to choose a day to be inert it was yesterday - the rain came in torrential bursts all day long. Bright sunshine in-between but mostly rain. Thanks so much for all the good wishes. And yes, @TA I well remember the torrid time you had a few years ago.I'm off out shortly to collect and order from Argos which I was meant to pick up yesterday. Then I have to pack as I'm away for a couple of days from tomorrow. It's the funeral of my closest friends' father, unfortunately it's lining up to be another gathering of toxic relatives.I hope that everyone is doing well - hugs to all.9

Good morning
Dry and cloudy outside, yesterday the rain stopped about 10am but it was very breezy.
I also missed posting yesterday. When making my morning cuppa I saw that the fridge was in disarray. Decided to clean and tidy it, then went on to wash all the kitchen cupboard doors. They didn't look grubby, but I'm ashamed to say the water was decidedly dirty. Two hours later a sit down was needed as I was feeling quite cream crackered.
No plans for today other than admiring my clean kitchen. Probably pork chops for tea.
Gers, hope you're feeling better.
TA, good news about your DFs son.
Themsthebreaks, I love getting bargains in Aldi, although I'm never lucky enough to get 75% off.
Have a good day everyone, take care.10 -
