Landlord is selling property and I can't afford to move.

    If the OP can't afford to move, they have no choice.  Been in a similar situation.  Its not always a choice.  However, its also worth pointing out that the defendent (the tenant) has to pay the court fees when an eviction goes to court (there are court fees for the eviction, and fees for the bailiffs warrant)  In my case that was £500.  I believe its increased since.  My LL took the money out of my deposit, which I agreed to.
