Hi friends,
I have received the above letter at home. It says this car was parked for 1h 29min after paying for 1h. The person trying to remove the car from the car park is actually 8 months pregnant and due to the position of the car adjacent, unable to get into the drivers seat to remove the car and had to contact and wait for a less wide person to remove the car. There is also no sign on entry and possibly inside too (car park is a while away so only looked at this on googlemaps) explaining that the car park is camera controlled.
My question is, do you think a simple appeal regarding the pregnancy (can attach maternity certificate showing due date from hospital) would be sufficient to have this cancelled. If it is rejected at the first stage, would not having mentioned the inadequacies of the signage in the first stage go against me when I draft a more thorough appeal at the second stage?
Thank you!

But it's highly likely that Plan A will work (see The NEWBIES thread).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I don't think they will care how pregnant someone is - they're very hard hearted. But it might worth a try to include that in the appeal except that that means you are naming the driver which is normally never recommended.
Maybe say something like "the car was blocked and so couldn't be removed within the time allowed" and save the details for later in the fight to get the charge revoked.
Presumably someone has talked to the shop in question to see if they can assist??I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
