Back door lock issue - really want to fix myself!

Out of the blue we can no longer open the back door when it is unlocked by just using the handle.
We have to also turn the key to depress the latch further. Not sure if the warm weather has affected it but any ideas - here is a video to show. Any ideas what bit is broken/how to fix?

I’m confident enough to take it apart, cylinder out etc but not sure what part I should be replacing etc
Recently married and loving it x

Is it a single door or a french/double door?

You could take off the handles by undoing the 2 screws on handle and see if the spring is broken or needs oiling or greasing.

If you can open the door using a key it would seem to me that it's the handle issue.

There are lots of YouTube vids on how to do this.

If the door not under warranty by the way?

'Out of the blue'? Do you reckon this suddenly happened, or could it have been building up for some time, until it reached the point the latch's tip didn't retract quite far enough to cause the noticeable 'issue'?
Boohoo's first move sounds good. If you remove the handle(s), you should have access to the (usually) square shaft that joins both handles and drives the latch mechanism. It could possibly be as simple as this square shaft being worn, with its edges rounded enough to not 'drive' as cleanly and fully as it should. Similarly, the receiving square holes in the latch mechanism could have this wear, as can the receiving holes in the handles themselves. It should hopefully be obviously once the handles are removed.*
These Euro locks are also easy to remove - they are secured by a single bolt through the open door's face, and the key inserted to turn the lock to the 'extracting' position - there will be lots of videos showing this. However, that part appears to be working fine, so I see no reason to go there yet.
    * Wear - ie a rounded-off 'square' - could be present inside the handles themselves, or where the shaft engages inside the latch, or on the mating points of the shaft itself, so check them all. Test the shaft for snugness in all of these; try turning the shaft and see how much rotating 'play' it has. A wee bit of wear in all these places could add up enough to show your symptoms.
Failing that, these could be wear inside the actual latch mechanism, which would require its replacement.

Just an example - seems to cover most points.
