Discontinued paint

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get some Laura Ashley Home paint in ‘Sage’ they don’t seem to have it anymore. They have s different sage colour. We ran out of paint & still have 2 walls to do. Any suggestions ?

Many thanks 😊

If you exhaust all avenues and can't find some then you can paint a bit on a piece of card and take it into a paint shop eg Brewers and they will scan it and produce the exact colour. They may even have Laura Ashley paints on their computer so you might not even have to paint a bit on card

Google Laura Ashley paint stockists and ring round? You will need the same batch number though so KM1500's suggestion is probably easier.

You could try B&Q as well - they do a paint mixing option. Not extortionately priced.

But don't use their GoodHome range. I made the mistake of getting a tin of satin wood - Very, very poor depth of colour, and despite multiple coats, the base still showed through. Spend a bit more on a decent brand and you'll save on having to go back to get a second tin.

Yes, the only own brand of theirs I used was the white emulsion for the ceiling which was 'alright'.

In theory, no two walls ever look the same colour, even when they use the same paint, because of the way that light falls. Look at any corner where walls meet your ceilings and you'll see three different colours (she says, painting her ceilings the same colour as the walls).

As long as you don't go touching up any other walls with the new paint, you'll get away with a slightly different colour, whether that's their 'new' version or your own colour match.
