PCN County Court Claim Defence Advice

Dear all
For info in case it helps anyone else.
I contacted the court for information on the procedure I needed to follow to try and obtain some costs.
This is the response I received:-"If you wish to apply for costs, you would be required to make a formal application (N244), and pay the relevant Court fee (or provide a fully completed EX160, if you are entitled to fee remission)
It is strongly advised that you seek independent legal advice before lodging any such application, as no application is guaranteed to be successful. Any application made would be at your own discretion and risk".
The fees involved are £123 for an application made without notice or by consent, and £313 for an application on notice.
As a result of this I am not prepared to expend any more time or money when I don't have any experience of the process, no doubt something the likes of DCB legal rely on.
Once again, thanks for all you help.

That's annoying. Not all courts take that view.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
