I am still using Money and find it invaluable. The working file has 30 years of data but the MS back up is not working. I can physically copy the 30000KB file to the back up location with no problem but the MS back up prompts me to find another location because it is not big enough! I see there is an option to archive but I have never tried it.....is it worth doing?

I archive every year, normally in the middle of January and remove all the previous calendar year's transactions, you can select which accounts to archive so if you want to keep everything from investment accounts that's no issue.
There are a few of my accounts that have historic red unreconciled transactions well in the past because I backed up one account and not the other, I never tried to fix it as the current balances are correct.
Archive files are around 9 to 11 MB per year.
Money is set to back up on closing and I've never had a warning about file size, current file is 10.6 MB

I get that prompt, but I just ignore & it backs up to memory stick no problemsI think it is related to way back in days of floppy disc sizes, but could be wrong on thatEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens3

The backup has "backup to floppy drive" and also "back up to another location". Mine backs up to one drive and never had a problem. Back up to the hard drive also easy. you have probably already checked but worth doing so again to make sure the floppy option is not selected.3

From my own experience if backups are on USB sticks etc, please have another backup copy. (as USB sticks tend to corrupt much more easily than other devices such as laptops etc)0

Also since loading to new PC it requires me to agree to the terms each time I use the program.
Also have got to the stage can't add new accounts
Have to reuse old accounts but this alters the history of these accounts
For example if you have transferred money to the old account it reads as if it was transferred to the new account0 -
^ What version of Money are you using? I'm using MS Money 2000 on Windows 10 without any issues like that, though maybe my financials are less complex than yours.0

Come October you may find the same issues unless you are running the computer in isolation and don't require the updates0 -
